Need help contacting PFL agent about upcoming leave - any tips?
Hey everyone, I'm having some issues with my upcoming paid family leave and I need to talk to someone about it. I've been trying to get through to an agent but no luck so far. Has anyone else dealt with this? Any tips on how to get in touch with someone who can help?

Ugh, I feel your pain. I've been trying to get through to someone about my PFL for weeks now. It's like they don't want us to actually use the benefits we're entitled to. 🙄

Seriously! It's like they make it difficult on purpose. I swear the system is designed to frustrate us into giving up.

Hang in there, guys. It sucks but keep trying. I finally got through after calling every day for two weeks straight.

Have you tried calling right when they open? I've had some luck getting through that way. Also, make sure you have all your paperwork ready before you call. They'll ask for a ton of info.

I found a method to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/DOLxZQb92wM

Wow, that sounds too good to be true. Does it really work? $20 seems steep but I guess it's worth it if it saves hours of frustration.

Idk man, sounds kinda sketchy. Why should we have to pay to talk to a government agency? 🤔

I get the skepticism, but it honestly saved me so much time and stress. Yeah, it sucks to pay, but my time is worth more than sitting on hold for hours.

Here's what I've learned about PFL after going through it twice: • Start the application process early. Like, as soon as you know you'll need it. • Keep copies of EVERYTHING. They love to claim they never received documents. • If possible, fax your documents instead of mailing them. It's faster and you get a confirmation. • Be persistent. If one agent can't help, politely ask to speak with a supervisor. • Check your online account regularly for updates or requests for additional info. • Don't be afraid to reach out to your local representative if you're really stuck. Hope this helps someone! The process is a pain but the benefits are worth it.

Wait, we can fax stuff? What year is it? 😂 But seriously, good to know. Might dust off the ol' fax machine.

Preach! 🙌 I swear they're trying to discourage us from using our benefits. Stay strong and keep fighting the good fight!

Pro tip: if u cant get thru on the main line, try calling one of the foreign language lines and ask to be transfered to an english speaking agent. sometimes works!

Isn't that kinda unethical tho? What if someone who actually needs that line can't get through bc we're clogging it up?

I mean, desperate times call for desperate measures. The whole system is broken anyway 🤷♂️
