SDI payments stopped since Nov 21 - No explanation from EDD. Help!

Hey everyone, I'm in a bit of a pickle here. I haven't received any payments from my SDI account since November 21st. It's been over a month now, and I'm starting to get really worried. I've tried reaching out to them, but I haven't gotten any explanation for the delay. Has anyone else experienced something similar or know what might be causing this? I'm not sure if I should be doing something on my end or if it's just a system issue. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Ugh, that sucks! Have you tried certifying for benefits recently? Sometimes if you miss a certification, it can cause a delay in payments. Also, has anything changed with your employment status or eligibility?

Thanks for the reply! I've been certifying regularly, and nothing's changed with my employment status. That's why I'm so confused about whats going on 😕

Maybe check ur online account for any notifications or messages? Sometimes they send important info there and forget to email or call 🙄

Good idea, I'll take a look. Fingers crossed there's some info there! 🤞

I've been in the same boat, mate. SDI can be a real pain sometimes. Have you tried calling them directly? It might take a while to get through, but it's worth a shot.

Omg, I found a way to actually get someone on the phone! I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

Sounds too good to be true. Is this legit? Anyone else tried it?

I was skeptical at first too, but I can confirm it's legit. Saved me hours of frustration!

20 bucks tho? 😬 Idk if I wanna pay just to talk to someone...

I get it, but think about how much time you'd waste trying to get through on your own. For me, it was totally worth it.

This is ridiculous! The system is so broken. We shouldn't have to jump through hoops just to get the benefits we're entitled to. Has anyone tried contacting their local representative about this? Maybe if enough of us complain, something will change.

Preach! 🙌 I've been thinking about reaching out to my rep. Maybe we should start a petition or something?

Good luck with that lol. Politicians don't care about us little guys 🤡

Hey there, I work in HR and deal with SDI claims often. Here's what you need to do: 1. Double-check your claim status online. Make sure there are no pending forms or additional info needed. 2. Verify your mailing address is correct. Sometimes payments get returned if the address is wrong. 3. Call the SDI office directly. Be persistent. Try early in the morning or late afternoon when it's less busy. 4. If you can't get through, try contacting them through their online portal or send a secure message. 5. Check if your bank info is correct for direct deposit. 6. If all else fails, consider reaching out to your local state representative's office. They can sometimes help expedite claims. Remember, there might be delays due to the holiday season or end-of-year processing. Don't panic, but do stay proactive. Good luck!

I had a similar issue last year. Turns out there was a glitch in their system that was affecting a bunch of claims. It took them like 2 months to sort it out, but I eventually got all my backpay. Hang in there!

Oh man, 2 months? That's rough. But glad to hear you eventually got your money. Gives me some hope!
