SDI payment delay with no updates or messages - what to do?
Hey everyone, I'm dealing with a payment delay from SDI and I'm getting pretty frustrated. It's been a while since I filed my claim and I haven't received any money yet. I've checked my online account but there's no updates or messages about the delay. I haven't gotten any notices or letters either. Has anyone else experienced this? Any advice on what I should do next?

Ugh, I feel ya. I was in the same boat last month. Have you tried calling them? It's a pain, but sometimes that's the only way to get answers.

•Pro tip: call right when they open. I got through after only 30 mins on hold that way.

I found a method to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

•Sounds too good to be true. Does it really work?

•Yeah, it actually does! I was skeptical at first too, but it saved me hours of frustration.

•I get it, but think about how much time you're wasting trying to get through. For me, it was worth every penny.

Have you checked if there's any missing information on your claim? Sometimes they delay payments if they need additional docs.

SDI is such a joke these days. I swear they're purposely making it hard for us to get our money. 🤡

Here's what you need to do: 1. Double-check your online account for any pending tasks or requests for information. Sometimes these are easy to miss. 2. If you haven't already, try to contact them through their online messaging system. It's slower than calling, but you might get a response. 3. Make sure all your paperwork is in order. Any missing docs can cause delays. 4. If you've waited more than 14 days since filing, you should definitely try to get in touch with them. Use the calling tip others mentioned or try early in the morning. 5. As a last resort, contact your local state representative. They can sometimes help push things along. Remember, persistence is key. Don't give up! Good luck!

I'm on week 6 of waiting. This is ridiculous. How are we supposed to pay bills?

I'm sorry to hear you're going through this Diego. Payment delays are unfortunately common with SDI. Here are a few things that helped me when I was in a similar situation: 1. Check your mail carefully - sometimes important notices get mixed in with junk mail or delivered to the wrong address 2. Log into your SDI online account and look under "Inbox" or "Messages" - there might be a request for additional information that's easy to miss 3. Try calling the SDI customer service line at 1-800-480-3287. Best times are right when they open at 8am or around lunch time 4. If you suspect there might be an issue with your claim, you can also try visiting your local SDI office in person The whole process can be incredibly stressful when you're depending on those payments. Hang in there and keep pushing for answers. Most delays are just administrative backlogs, but it's important to stay on top of it. Let us know how it goes!
