SDI claim filed, no payments received yet. How long did it take you?
Hey everyone, I'm really frustrated. I filed my SDI claim a while ago and I still haven't received any payments. Has anyone else experienced this? How long did it take for you to get your first payment? I'm starting to worry because bills are piling up and I don't know what to do. Any advice would be appreciated!

Ugh, I feel your pain! I was in the same boat a few months ago. It took almost 6 weeks for me to get my first payment. The waiting game is brutal 😫

Have you tried calling them? Sometimes there's an issue with your claim that they don't tell you about unless you call.

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

Here's what I've learned from my experience and others: 1. Make sure all your paperwork is filled out correctly. Double-check everything! 2. If you haven't heard anything in 2 weeks, start calling. 3. Keep a log of all your calls and who you talked to. 4. Check your online account daily for updates. 5. If possible, get your doctor to follow up on their end. Hang in there! The system is frustrating but keep at it. 💪
