SDI payment for mid-December claim period still not received - what to do?
Hey everyone, I'm really frustrated right now. I was supposed to get my SDI payment last week for the claim period ending in mid-December, but I still haven't received anything. Has anyone else experienced delays with their SDI payments recently? Any ideas on what I should do or who I should contact? This is really stressing me out because I'm counting on that money.

Ugh, I feel you. The SDI system is such a mess rn. I had a similar issue last month. Have you tried calling their customer service line? It's a pain to get through, but sometimes that's the only way to get answers.

•Pro tip: try calling right when they open. I usually have better luck getting through then.

I found a method to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

•Sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this?

•20 bucks? Idk man, seems kinda steep just to talk to someone...

•I get the skepticism, but it honestly saved me hours of frustration. Worth every penny imo.

•How long did you have to wait after using the service?

•It took about 45 minutes, but I didn't have to do anything. The service called me when an agent was on the line.

Have you checked your claim status online? Sometimes there are updates there that might explain the delay.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I've been dealing with payment delays for MONTHS. The system is totally broken. 🤡 Good luck getting any real help from them.

•It's been rough, ngl. Had to borrow money from family and max out my credit cards. The whole situation is a joke.

Here's what you need to do to resolve SDI payment delays: 1. Double-check your claim status online. Make sure all info is correct. 2. If there are no issues online, call the SDI office ASAP. Be persistent. 3. Document everything: dates you called, who you spoke to, what they said. 4. If calling doesn't work, send a written inquiry through their online portal. 5. Consider reaching out to your local state representative. They can sometimes help push things along. 6. Make sure you've submitted all required medical documentation. 7. If it's been more than 14 days since your last payment, file for a continuation claim. Remember, persistence is key. Don't give up! The system is overwhelmed, but you'll get your money eventually.

I heard there was a glitch in the system affecting December payments. Might be worth asking about that specifically when you get through to someone.

This is why we need to overhaul the entire system. It's not just SDI, it's unemployment, disability, everything. We're all just stuck in this bureaucratic nightmare 😫

•Yeah but good luck getting politicians to care about actually fixing it 🙄

Have you tried reaching out on social media? Sometimes tweeting at the official SDI account can get their attention.
