SDI payments suddenly stopped - no explanation from EDD. What to do?

Hey everyone, I'm having trouble with my SDI payments. I haven't received anything recently and I'm not sure why. I've checked and I haven't gotten any notices or letters from EDD explaining the delay. I also haven't made any changes to my claim or submitted any new documents recently. Has anyone else experienced this? Any ideas on what could be causing the delay or what I should do next?

I found a way to solve SDI payment delays, watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DyUSaW09Dcg

Ugh, I'm in the same boat. SDI payments have been a nightmare lately. Have you tried calling them? It's a pain, but sometimes that's the only way to get answers.

I've been trying to call but can never get through. It's so frustrating!

Pro tip: call right when they open. I got through after only 30 minutes on hold last week.

30 minutes? You got lucky! I was on hold for 3 hours yesterday and then got disconnected 😭

I found a method to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video explaining it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

Sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this?

20 bucks? No way, that's a scam.

I get the skepticism, but it's legit. Saved me hours of frustration. Worth every penny imo.

Can you give more details about how it works? Do they just keep calling until they get through?

Yeah, basically. They have some tech that navigates the phone tree and waits on hold. When a real person answers, it calls you. Simple but effective.

Have you checked your online account? Sometimes there are updates there that don't come through as notifications.

This happened to me last year. Turns out there was a glitch in their system and my payments were being held up. Took forever to resolve, but keep pushing!

Oh no, that sounds awful. How long did it take to fix?

It took about 6 weeks all told. But I did eventually get all the back pay. Hang in there!

Here's what you need to do: 1. Check your online account for any messages or updates 2. Make sure all your contact info is up to date 3. Double-check that you've submitted all required certifications 4. If possible, try to speak with a rep (use the calling tip someone mentioned above) 5. If all else fails, contact your local assembly member's office. They can sometimes help push things through Remember, the system is overloaded right now, so patience is key. But don't give up! You're entitled to your benefits.

This is great advice. I'd add: keep a log of all your attempts to contact them. It can help if you need to escalate the issue.

Have you considered reaching out to your local news station? Sometimes public pressure can get things moving.

Idk if this helps, but I had a similar issue and it turned out my doctor hadn't submitted some required paperwork. Might be worth checking with them.

Oh, that's a good point. I'll give my doctor's office a call tomorrow. Thanks!
