SDI claim submitted over a week ago, 7-day waiting period passed, still no payment. What's going on?

Hey everyone, I'm getting really frustrated with my SDI claim. I submitted my application over a week ago, and the 7-day waiting period has passed, but I still haven't received any payment. Has anyone else experienced this? I'm starting to worry about how I'm going to pay my bills. Any advice on what I should do next or how long I should expect to wait?

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but in my experience, it can take up to 3 weeks for the first payment to come through after the waiting period. The system is so backed up right now. Hang in there!

Hey, I found a way to actually get someone on the phone! I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works.
