SDI claim still pending after a month - what to do?

Hey everyone, I'm having some issues with my SDI claim. I submitted all my documents back on February 27th, but it's still showing as pending. It's been over a month now and I haven't heard anything. Has anyone else experienced such a long wait time? I'm getting worried and could really use some advice on what to do next. Should I try calling them or is there another way to check on the status?

Ugh, I feel your pain! I've been dealing with SDI for what feels like forever. Have you tried calling them? It's a total nightmare getting through, but sometimes it's the only way to get answers.

I haven't tried calling yet, but I'm dreading it. How long did you have to wait on hold?

Brace yourself... I was on hold for over 3 hours last time. It's ridiculous! 🤦‍♂️

3 hours?! That's insane. There's gotta be a better way to handle this stuff.

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone without waiting for hours. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/Ize0EkN4HDI

Sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this?

idk man, paying to talk to a government agency? Seems sketchy af 🤔

I get the skepticism, but it seriously saved me hours of frustration. Worth every penny imo

Can you give more details about how it works? Do they guarantee you'll get through?

0 coins

They don't guarantee it, but they keep trying until they get through. It took about 45 mins for me, way better than spending all day trying to call myself.

Have you checked your online account? Sometimes they update the status there without sending a notification. It's worth a shot!

I'm in the same boat, submitted my claim on March 1st and still nothing. This whole system is a joke. 🤡

Ugh, sorry to hear that. Let me know if you find any solutions!

Will do. We're all in this sinking ship together 😅

Here's what I've learned from my experience with SDI claims: 1. Be persistent: Call them regularly (at least once a week) to check on your claim status. 2. Document everything: Keep a log of when you submitted documents, called, and any responses you received. 3. Online account: Check your SDI Online account daily for updates. 4. Contact your state representative: If you're really stuck, reaching out to your local government rep can sometimes help move things along. 5. Prepare for the call: Have all your info ready (claim number, dates, etc.) when you finally get through to someone. 6. Be polite but firm: The person on the phone isn't personally responsible for the delay, but they can help you. 7. Ask for specifics: If they say it's pending, ask why and what exactly is needed to move it forward. Hang in there, OP. The system is frustrating, but stay on top of it and you'll get through eventually!

This is gold 💯 Saving this for future reference!

Anyone else notice how they always seem to "lose" our documents? 🙄 Make sure you keep copies of EVERYTHING you send them!

pro tip: call right when they open. youll still wait, but not as long as mid-day

What time do they open?

0 coins

8am i think. double check on there website tho

I heard they're super backlogged because of budget cuts. Doesn't make it any less frustrating tho 😤

have u tried faxing them? sometimes old school methods work better with these dinosaur agencies lol

Faxing? What year is it? 😂 But seriously, I might give that a try if nothing else works.
