SDI Application Pending for Months - Filed in August, Still No Response

Hey everyone, I'm really frustrated. My SDI application has been pending for months now. I initially filed it back in August and still haven't heard anything. Has anyone else experienced such long delays? Any advice on how to speed up the process or what I should do next?

I found a way to solve long SDI application delays, watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mTSD3YfLvKc

Ugh, I feel your pain! I was in the same boat last year. It took almost 6 months for my SDI to get approved. The system is so backed up its ridiculous. Have you tried calling them? Sometimes that can help move things along.

Thanks for the sympathy. I've tried calling but can never get through. It's so frustrating! Did you do anything specific to finally get yours approved?

Honestly, I just kept calling. Like, every single day. It was a nightmare, but I finally got through to someone who could help. Persistence is key with these guys.

I found a method to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

Sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this?

I get the skepticism, but it seriously worked for me. Saved me hours of frustration. Worth every penny imo.

Can confirm, I used it too. Got through in like 30 mins when I'd been trying for weeks.

Have you checked your online account? Sometimes they update the status there without sending a notification. Also, make sure all your docs are uploaded correctly. A friend of mine had her app delayed cause one form didn't go through properly.

This is why the system is broken. People shouldn't have to wait months for benefits they need NOW. We need to put pressure on our representatives to fix this mess. 😤

Preach! 🙌 The whole system needs an overhaul. It's not just SDI, it's unemployment, disability, everything. We deserve better.

Here's what you need to do to get your SDI application moving: 1. Double-check all your documentation. Make sure everything is filled out correctly and completely. 2. If you haven't already, create an online account and check your status there. 3. Try to contact them through multiple channels - phone, email, and even snail mail if necessary. 4. Consider reaching out to your local state representative. They sometimes can help expedite these things. 5. Document everything. Keep a log of all your attempts to contact them, including dates and times. 6. If you're really desperate, some people have had luck contacting local news stations about the delays. Bad publicity can sometimes motivate action. 7. Join Facebook groups or other online communities focused on SDI issues. Sometimes you can get insider tips there. Remember, persistence is key. Don't give up!

Has anyone tried faxing their documents? I know it sounds old school, but I've heard it can sometimes get faster results than uploading online.

Hey, don't knock it till you've tried it! Sometimes the old ways work best with these outdated systems.

Just a heads up, there was a news article last week about SDI implementing a new processing system. Might be causing extra delays. Hang in there!
