SDI Claim Pending for Weeks - Any Advice to Speed Up Process?

Hey everyone, I'm having some trouble with my SDI claim. It's been pending for a while now and I'm not sure what to do. I filed it a couple weeks ago but haven't heard anything back. Has anyone else experienced long wait times for their claim to be processed? Any advice on how to speed things up or what I should do next would be really appreciated!

Ugh, I feel your pain. I've been waiting on my SDI claim for over a month now. It's so frustrating! Have you tried calling them? I've heard some people have had luck getting through and getting updates that way.

Thanks for the suggestion. I've tried calling a few times but always get stuck on hold forever. It's so annoying! 😤 How long did you end up waiting for yours to go through?

Mine took about 6 weeks in total. It was a nightmare, but it did eventually come through. Hang in there!

Pro tip: call right when they open in the morning. You might have better luck getting through then.

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

Sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this? Is it legit?

I was skeptical at first too, but it really did work for me. Saved me hours of frustration.

$20 seems steep just to talk to someone. The system is so broken if we have to pay just to get basic info 🤦‍♂️

I get it, but for me, it was worth it to finally get some answers and move my claim forward. Time is money, ya know?

Here's what I've learned from my experience with SDI claims: 1. Be patient. Unfortunately, long wait times are common. 2. Double-check all your paperwork. Any small error can cause delays. 3. If you can get through on the phone, be polite but persistent. 4. Keep a log of all your attempts to contact them. 5. Consider reaching out to your local state representative's office. They can sometimes help expedite things. Hope this helps! Good luck with your claim.

Wow, thank you so much for this detailed advice! I'll definitely try reaching out to my rep's office, hadn't thought of that.

I'm in the same boat, friend. Filed 3 weeks ago and still nothing. This whole system is a joke. 🤡

Preach! 🙌 It's like they want us to give up or something.

Anyone else notice that claims seem to be taking way longer since COVID? I swear it used to be faster before the pandemic hit.

Totally! I think they're just swamped with all the extra claims from the past couple years. Still sucks tho

Hot take: what if we all showed up at the SDI office in person? They can't ignore us then! Who's with me? 😤✊

lol imagine the chaos. But fr, that might actually work 🤔

Pretty sure most offices are still closed to the public bc of covid. Nice try tho 😂
