SDI payments stopped suddenly after August - no explanation from EDD. Help!
Hey everyone, I'm having some issues with my SDI payments. I was getting them regularly in August, but now they've suddenly stopped. Has anyone else experienced this? I'm really worried because I rely on these payments. Any advice on what I should do or who I should contact?

Ugh, I'm in the same boat. My payments stopped last month with no explanation. Have you tried logging into your EDD account to see if there's any info there?

•Yeah, I checked but there's nothing new. Just says my claim is still active. It's so frustrating!

Have you received any letters or notices from EDD recently? Sometimes they send important info by mail that doesn't show up online.

•Nope, nothing in the mail either. That's why I'm so confused!

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone! I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

•Sounds too good to be true. Does it really work?

•I was skeptical too, but I tried it and got through in about an hour. Saved me days of frustration!

•Why should we have to pay to talk to EDD? The system is so broken 😤

•I get it, but for me, it was worth the $20 to finally get answers. Time is money, ya know?

Here's what I've learned from dealing with SDI payment issues: 1. Double-check your claim dates. Sometimes payments stop if your claim period ends. 2. Make sure all your medical certifications are up to date. 3. If you returned to work, even part-time, that can affect payments. 4. Check if there were any changes to your address or bank info. 5. Look for any pending forms or requests from EDD in your online account. If none of these apply, you might need to file an appeal. But definitely try to get someone on the phone first. Good luck!

•You try living without income for 3 months and see how calm you are!

•Fair point. Sorry you're going through that. It really does suck.

Pro tip: if you can't get through on the main line, try calling your local assemblymember's office. They often have direct lines to EDD and can help push things along.

Anyone else notice that these issues always seem to happen around the end of the quarter? Makes me wonder if it's a system glitch or something 🤔

•I've been on it for about 4 months now. Don't think I've hit the max yet, but I'll double-check. Thanks!
