If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

kinda off topic but has anyone else noticed that SDI is wayyyy stricter about mental health claims than physical ones?? my husband broke his ankle and got approved in like 5 days. meanwhile my anxiety/depression claim took 2 months and they asked for extra documentation twice!!

ABSOLUTELY!!! EDD treats mental health like it's not real!!! I had to send in SO MUCH paperwork for my PTSD claim but my coworker with a back injury got approved right away. It's DISCRIMINATION!

Yes, you should definitely mention your boss's comment about you seeming "distracted." That's actually helpful evidence that your mental health was already affecting your work performance before termination. If you have any emails or texts that reference this conversation, bring copies. One more tip: In these appeals, how you present yourself matters. Be honest about your symptoms but stay focused and organized in your responses. Prepare a short (2-3 minute) summary of your timeline that clearly establishes when your disability began. Judges appreciate when claimants can clearly explain their situation without going off on tangents. Good luck with your appeal! The fact that you have treatment records from February 15 puts you in a strong position.

Thank you so much for all this help. I feel much more prepared now. I'll work on that short summary and gather all my documentation. I really appreciate everyone's advice and hearing from others who've been through similar situations. It's been such a difficult year but knowing I'm not alone helps.

My husband just went through getting his SDI extended for shoulder surgery. His doctor submitted the extension form online and it was processed within 3 days. Super easy, no problems at all. I think it really depends on your doctor being familiar with the system. Some medical offices do this all day long with no issues.

One final tip: When you see your doctor on Thursday, ask them to print you a copy of the completed extension form for your records. Having documentation is helpful if there are any issues later. Also, after the form is submitted, check your SDI Online account daily. You should see your claim end date extended within 5-7 business days. If you don't see the update by then, that's when you'd want to contact EDD to ensure they received the paperwork.

Thank you for all your help! I feel so much better about this now. I'll definitely get a copy and keep an eye on my online account for the update after my appointment.

Delaying necessary medical care because of benefit issues is EXACTLY what's wrong with the system!! I hope you can find help and get the surgery you need without waiting!

I'm glad you found some resources and direction. If you do end up delaying surgery, make sure your doctor prescribes appropriate pain management and documents everything thoroughly. This documentation might help with other assistance programs. Wishing you a smooth recovery whenever you do have the procedure.

did u set up the fraud alerts on your card??? money network has them but they dont tell anyone about it when u get the card. go to the website and look for security settings once u get ur new card

0 coins

No, I had no idea they had fraud alerts! They really don't make this information clear at all when they send the card. I'll definitely set that up with the new card. Thanks!

Just following up - have you made any progress with this situation? Were you able to contact your case worker or try any of the suggestions here? I hope you're getting some resolution.

Thanks for checking in! Filed the police report yesterday, and finally reached someone helpful at Money Network after asking specifically for the fraud department. They're expediting the replacement card (should come in 3 days instead of 10). Also went to my local EDD office in person and they were able to issue a limited emergency payment to help with medications and essential expenses until this gets resolved. Still waiting on the actual fraud claim to be processed, but at least things are moving now. Thanks to everyone for all the helpful advice!

EDD overpayment disaster after Workers Comp case - bank account levied without notice!

I'm in a complete nightmare situation with EDD and don't know what to do. After getting injured at work in 2020, I was put on restricted duty. My employer terminated me claiming performance issues from months before my injury. I applied for UI benefits since I didn't understand workers' comp well. EDD approved my claim after a hearing with a judge, and I received about 4 months of payments.\n\nDuring this time, my WC doctor told me I needed more treatment, but the workers' comp insurance denied my claim. My doctor recommended getting an attorney. My attorney advised me to switch from UI to workers' comp since WC pays more. I went to the local EDD office where a representative told me it wouldn't be an issue - they said once my WC claim was settled, EDD would just recoup the UI benefits from my WC settlement.\n\nFast forward to now (2025), and the IRS has garnished my tax refund for an EDD overpayment. Then last month, EDD LEVIED MY BANK ACCOUNT without any warning! My workers' comp case is STILL ongoing after 5 years, and I've never received a penny from them. How can EDD claim I have an overpayment when I never got WC benefits? I tried contacting EDD but they've made it impossible to reach anyone since COVID.\n\nTo make matters worse, I was homeless for part of this period so I never received any notices they might have sent. I went to an appeal hearing, but the judge wouldn't even look at my documentation and just verbally told me his decision on the spot. Does anyone know what options I have to fight this? Can they really take my money before my WC case is even settled?

You're getting some good advice here, but I want to add something important: EDD should have sent you a Notice of Overpayment (DE 1444) before taking any collection action. This notice would explain their determination and your right to appeal.\n\nThe fact that you were homeless and didn't receive these notices is relevant. Under California's \

This is excellent advice, especially about requesting immediate release of the bank levy. One addition: when filing the DE 1000M appeal form, clearly state at the top \
