EDD not processing doctor's supplemental certification, no payments since March. Help!
Hey everyone, I'm having a frustrating issue with my unemployment benefits. My doctor has submitted supplemental certification twice now, but I still haven't received any payments since early March. I have receipt numbers for the submissions, but it seems like they think they haven't received anything. Has anyone else dealt with this? Any advice on how to get this sorted out?

Ugh, that sucks! I've been in a similar situation. Have you tried calling them directly? Sometimes thats the only way to get things moving.

•Same here. I swear their phone system is designed to keep us out 🙄

•Pro tip: call right when they open. I got through after only 30 mins on hold last week!

I found a method to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

•Sounds too good to be true. Is this legit?

•Yeah, it's legit. I was skeptical at first too, but it saved me hours of frustration. Worth every penny imo.

•How long did you have to wait for the callback?

•It took about 2 hours for me, but beats spending all day hitting redial!

Have you tried faxing the documents? Sometimes that works better than online submissions. Just make sure to keep the confirmation page!

This is why the system is broken. They make it so hard for people who actually need help. I've been dealing with similar issues since January. Hang in there, OP!

Here's what I'd do: 1. Compile all your receipt numbers and dates of submission 2. Write a clear, concise letter explaining the situation 3. Send it via certified mail to your local office AND the main state office 4. Follow up with emails and calls referencing the letter 5. If possible, ask your doctor to call on your behalf It's a pain, but creating a paper trail can help. Good luck!

•This is solid advice. I'd add: keep a log of every interaction, including names of reps you speak to.

Oof, sounds like you're in the same boat as me. The EDD is a total clown show rn 🤡 I've been waiting since February for my benefits to kick in. Starting to feel like I'm gonna strike out completely 😩
