EDD Payment Delayed Despite Doctor's Certification - What to Do?
Hey everyone, I'm having a frustrating issue with my unemployment payment. My doctor already submitted the supplemental certification, but I still haven't received my payment. Has anyone else dealt with this? Any advice on what I should do next?

Ugh, I'm in the same boat. It's been weeks since my doc sent in the paperwork and still nothing. The system is so broken 😤

•How long has it been for you? I'm going on 3 weeks now and starting to get really worried.

•It's been almost a month for me. This is ridiculous. We shouldn't have to chase them down for our own money!

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

•Sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this?

•20 bucks? Thats kinda steep just to talk to someone...

•I get the skepticism, but it seriously saved me hours of frustration. Worth every penny imo

•Can confirm, I used it last week and finally got my issue resolved. Sometimes you gotta spend money to make money 🤷♂️

Here's what you need to do: 1. Double-check with your doctor that they submitted everything correctly. Sometimes there are errors on their end. 2. Log into your online account and make sure there are no pending tasks or additional information requests. 3. If it's been more than 2 weeks since the certification was submitted, you should definitely call. Be persistent! 4. If calling doesn't work, try reaching out via email or their social media channels. Sometimes you can get a response there. 5. As a last resort, contact your local representative's office. They often have liaisons who can help with unemployment issues. Remember, document everything! Keep a log of all your attempts to contact them, including dates and times. This can be helpful if you need to escalate the issue later. Good luck, OP! The system is frustrating, but don't give up. You'll get your money eventually.

•This is great advice. I'd add that if you do call, try early in the morning right when they open. That's when I finally got through.

Tbh, I've given up on the system. Been trying to get my benefits for months now. Might as well be screaming into the void 🤡

Quick question - did your doctor use the correct form? There's a specific supplemental cert form they need to use. If they used the wrong one, that could explain the delay.

•Oh man, I didn't even think of that. I'll def check with them. Thanks for the tip!

Not to be that guy, but have you tried turning it off and on again? 🤣 jk jk, but seriously, sometimes logging out and back into your account can refresh things. Worth a shot!
