EDD Payment Delay: Filed in January, Still No Money. What to Do?

Ugh, I'm in the same boat. Filed in early February and crickets so far. This is so frustrating! 😤

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

Here's what you need to do: 1. Check your UI Online account for any pending tasks or messages. 2. Make sure all your certifications are up to date. 3. Double-check that your payment method (EDD debit card or direct deposit) is set up correctly. 4. If everything looks good on your end, you'll need to contact EDD directly. 5. Be persistent with calling - early morning or late afternoon tend to have shorter wait times. 6. If you can't get through by phone, try sending a message through your UI Online account. 7. As a last resort, contact your local assembly member's office. They can sometimes help expedite claims. Remember, there's often a delay between filing and receiving your first payment, but it shouldn't be more than a few weeks. If it's been over a month, something's definitely off.
