EDD payments stopped for 2 weeks despite on-time certification - what to do?
Hey everyone, I'm having a problem with my unemployment payments. For the last 2 weeks, I haven't received any money even though I've been certifying on time and everything seems to go through successfully. Has anyone else experienced this? Any ideas on what could be causing the delay or what I should do next?

I found a way to solve unemployment payment delays, watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fNswWtl6OCA

Ugh, I'm in the same boat. It's been 3 weeks for me now. I've tried calling but can't get through to anyone. This is so frustrating!

•3 weeks?! That's insane. Have you tried reaching out on social media? Sometimes they respond there.

•Yeah, I've tried everything. Twitter, Facebook, even sent an email. Radio silence 😤

•Dude, social media is useless. They just copy-paste the same generic responses. You gotta get someone on the phone.

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone! I used this site called claimyr.com. It's a calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, and then connects you when a live agent picks up. It costs $20, but it worked for me. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/Ize0EkN4HDI

•Sounds too good to be true. Are you sure it's legit?

•I was skeptical too, but I can confirm it's real. Saved me hours of frustration.

•20 bucks tho? That's kinda steep just to talk to someone...

•I get it, but for me it was worth it. Time is money, and I was losing my mind trying to get through.

Have you checked your EDD account online? Sometimes there are messages or updates there that explain payment delays.

This happened to me last month. Turns out there was a flag on my account for "identity verification" even though I'd already done that. Had to upload docs again. Check if that's your issue too.

•Thanks for the tip! I'll definitely look into that. How long did it take to resolve once you uploaded the docs?

•It took about a week after I uploaded everything. Hang in there!

The EDD system is such a joke. They need to get there act together. People are suffering while they cant even process simple payments on time. 🤬

Here's what you need to do: 1. Check your EDD account for any pending issues or required actions. 2. If nothing there, try to contact them through every available channel (phone, email, social media). 3. Document everything - dates you certified, when payments were supposed to come, any communication attempts. 4. If it goes on for more than 3 weeks, consider reaching out to your local state representative. They often have contacts at EDD and can help push things along. 5. Make sure your mailing address is up to date in case they're trying to send you something. 6. Double-check that your bank info hasn't changed. 7. If you've had any change in circumstances (started working part-time, moved, etc.), make sure you reported it properly. Remember, persistence is key. Don't give up! The system is overwhelmed, but you'll get through eventually.

•Contacting your state rep is a pro tip. Worked for me when I was stuck for over a month.

Has anyone heard about the new bill they're trying to pass to improve the EDD system? Supposedly it'll make things faster, but idk if it'll actually help.

•Yeah, I read about that. Sounds promising, but I'll believe it when I see it. 🙄

Pro tip: if you do get through on the phone, ask them to put a ticket in for your case. It creates a paper trail and sometimes speeds things up.
