EDD notification for certification not received since December - What to do?
Hey everyone, I'm having trouble with my unemployment certification. I didn't get the notification to certify my weeks. The last time I certified was in December. Has anyone else experienced this? What should I do when I call them?

I found a way to solve unemployment certification notification issues, watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7s2ahXkFXu4

Ugh, I've been there. The EDD system is such a mess sometimes. Here's what you should do when you call: 1. Have your last certification date ready (December in your case) 2. Explain that you haven't received any notifications since then 3. Ask them to resend the certification instructions 4. Make sure they update your contact info if needed Good luck! Let us know how it goes.

•Thanks for the advice! I'll definitely have my last certification date ready. Do you think I should ask about any back payments for the weeks I missed?

•Absolutely! Don't forget to ask about retroactive certification for those missed weeks. You might be entitled to those payments 💰

•Good point about updating contact info. I had a similar issue and it turned out they had my old email 🤦♂️

I found a way to get through to someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/Ize0EkN4HDI

•Sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this?

•20 bucks? Idk man, seems kinda steep just to make a phone call 🤔

•I get the skepticism, but it seriously saved me hours of frustration. Worth every penny imo

•How long did you have to wait after using the service?

•It took about 45 minutes, but I didn't have to sit there listening to hold music. They just called me when an agent was on the line.

This happened to me last year. Turns out my claim had expired and I needed to file a new one. Might be worth checking if that's your situation too.

•Oh man, I didn't even think of that. How do I check if my claim has expired?

•Log into your EDD account and look for your claim status. It should show the start and end dates. If it's ended, you'll need to file a new claim.

The EDD is a joke 🤡 I've been dealing with them for months and still can't get my issues resolved. Good luck, OP. You're gonna need it.

Pro tip: call right when they open. I always have better luck getting through early in the morning.

•What time do they open? Asking for a friend 😅
