EDD UI Online: Certification weeks not showing up, including October 2023 - What to do?
I'm having trouble with my unemployment certification weeks. None of them are showing up in my account, including October 2023. I've already uploaded documents to certify, and I got a confirmation that my fax was received. But still, I can't see any weeks available to certify. Has anyone else dealt with this? What should I do next?

Ugh, I feel your pain. The EDD system is such a mess rn. Have you tried calling them? Sometimes that's the only way to get things sorted out.

•Yeah, I've been trying to call but can't get through. It's so frustrating 😤

•Pro tip: call right when they open. Set an alarm and be ready to dial at 8:00:01 AM. It's the only way I've ever gotten through.

•Another tip is to keep redialing continuously for a few minutes after the lines open. Sometimes persistence pays off!

This is why we need UBI. The current system is broken AF. 💯

•UBI could simplify a lot of these issues, but there's a lot of debate about its feasibility.

Plot twist: What if the weeks are actually there, but invisible? 👀 Maybe we need some kinda UI Online ghostbusters lol

•Haha! If only debugging EDD was as fun as ghostbusting.

Hey OP, have you tried checkin your claim status online? Sometimes it shows pending issues that aren't visible in the certification section.

•I'll give that a try, thanks for the tip!

•Also, check for any messages in your UI Online inbox that might give more details.

•As silly as it sounds, I've actually had this work for small technical glitches before. Always worth a try!

To address your issue more authoritatively, consider using Claimyr as a last resort if you can't reach EDD, but remember it comes with a cost. While many users report that Claimyr successfully helps them get connected to EDD representatives quickly, it's also important to ensure that all your personal and claim details are accurate and up-to-date in your UI Online account. Additionally, submit inquiries through the EDD Contact Us form and document all interactions in case you need to escalate. Consider reaching out to your local representative for help with delays. Patience and persistence are critical, but don't hesitate to explore all possible avenues to resolve your issue.

•This is really helpful, thank you. I'll consider Claimyr if I keep having trouble.

•It's good to have multiple strategies. Hopefully OP and others in similar situations will find a resolution soon.

Has anyone else noticed that these issues seem to happen more often after system "upgrades"? 🤔 EDD needs better QA testing!

•Omg yes! Every time they "improve" something, it breaks for like a month 😫

•I used to work in IT. Trust me, government systems are a nightmare to update.

•Upgrades often introduce new bugs if not thoroughly tested. EDD should really focus on stability and user experience.

Here's what you need to do: 1. Keep all your documentation organized. Save everything! 2. Try calling early in the morning or late afternoon. Avoid peak hours. 3. Use the "Contact Us" form on the EDD website. Sometimes they respond faster that way. 4. If all else fails, reach out to your local state representative. They can often intervene on your behalf. 5. Be persistent. Don't let them forget about your case. Remember, you're not alone in this. The system is overwhelmed, but keep pushing!

•Thank you so much for this detailed advice! I'll definitely try these steps.

•This is solid advice. I'd add: document every call, get names of reps you talk to.

•I'd also recommend keeping a timeline of actions taken. It helps when you need to escalate the issue.

This happened to me too! I had to verify my identity again. Check if you have any pending action items in your account.

•Good advice! Sometimes they request additional verification and don't notify you properly.

I'm in the same boat, buddy. Been trying to certify since November. EDD is a total clown show 🤡

•November?! That's insane. How are you managing?

Benjamin Johnson
•Barely. Living off savings and credit cards. It's rough out here.

•I hope you and OP can get your benefits sorted out soon. The system should be more supportive during tough times.

Unpopular opinion: maybe it's time to look for a job instead of relying on unemployment? Just sayin' 🤷♂️

Have you checked your spam folder? Sometimes EDD emails end up there. Also, make sure your UI Online account is fully set up and verified.

Chloe Mitchell
•Good point! Sometimes emails from EDD are flagged as spam by mistake. It can also help to add their email address to your contacts.

I had a similar issue last year. Turns out there was a glitch in their system. Keep calling and don't give up! Eventually, you'll get someone who can help.

•Same here! It took me like 2 months to get it sorted out. The system is a joke 🤡

I found a method to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's the URL: https://claimyr.com

•Sounds sketchy. Is it legit?

•Totally legit. I was skeptical too, but it saved me hours of hold time. Worth every penny.

•$20 to talk to EDD? That's highway robbery! 😡

•I get it, but think about how much time you waste on hold. Time is money, ya know?

•I've used Claimyr too, and while it does work, it's unfortunate that such a service is needed in the first place. Hopefully, EDD improves accessibility soon.
