EDD Payment Delay: Certified 4 Weeks, Faxed Docs, Still No Money. Help!
Hey everyone, I'm in a bit of a pickle here. I've certified for unemployment for the past 4 weeks and even faxed over all the documents they asked for. But guess what? Still no payment! Anyone else dealing with this? It's getting frustrating and I could really use some advice or at least know I'm not alone in this.

Ugh, welcome to the club 🙄 I've been waiting for 6 weeks now. It's like they're playing hide and seek with our money.

•6 weeks? Amateur hour 😂 Try 3 months without a peep from EDD. I'm starting to think they've forgotten I exist!

•Guys, have you tried calling? I know its a pain, but sometimes you gotta be the squeaky wheel to get the grease.

•Call? LOL good one. I'd have better luck winning the lottery than getting through to a human there.

I feel your pain, OP. The system is so backed up right now. Have you checked your UI Online account? Sometimes there's more info there about why payments are held up.

Okay, listen up folks. I've been through this rodeo before and here's what you need to do: 1. Double-check all your certifications. Make sure you didn't accidentally report any income or answer a question wrong. 2. Look for any pending interviews or additional info requests in your UI Online inbox. 3. If you faxed documents, call and confirm they received them. Sometimes they 'lose' stuff. 4. Be persistent with calling. Use the trick where you call right at 8:01 AM when they open. 5. If all else fails, contact your local assembly member's office. They can sometimes work miracles. Remember, patience is key but also don't be afraid to advocate for yourself. Good luck!

•Wait, we can contact our assembly member? How does that work?

•Yep! Google your district's assembly member, most have an EDD assistance form on their website. Fill it out and they'll reach out to EDD on your behalf.

Has anyone else noticed that ever since they implemented that new ID verification system, everything's been moving slower than molasses in January? 🐌

•omg yes! I thought it was just me. That system is more confusing than trying to assemble IKEA furniture blindfolded.

Guys, I found a method to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Check out this video: https://youtu.be/Ize0EkN4HDI

•Sounds too good to be true. Are you sure it's legit?

•100% legit. I was skeptical too, but desperate times call for desperate measures. It saved me hours of frustration.

•Wait, we have to PAY to talk to EDD now? This system is more broken than I thought 🤦♂️

•I get it, it sucks to pay. But think about how much time and stress it saves. For me, it was worth every penny.

Anyone else feel like we're all stuck in some kind of unemployment limbo? Kafka would have a field day with this mess 📚🐛

Pro tip: document EVERYTHING. Every call, every fax, every piece of mail. You never know when you'll need to prove you did something.

Is it just me, or does anyone else miss the good old days when we could actually walk into an office and talk to a real person? #bringbackhumaninteraction

•Preach! 🙌 I'd give my left shoe for a face-to-face convo with an EDD rep right about now.

I'm going through the exact same thing! 4 weeks certified, documents sent, and radio silence from EDD. What's really frustrating is that there's no clear timeline or status updates. I've been checking my UI Online account obsessively but it just shows "pending" with no explanation. The worst part is not knowing if it's a system glitch, missing paperwork, or just the usual EDD backlog. Hang in there - at least we know we're not alone in this nightmare! 😤
