EDD payment delay? Certified 4 days ago, no payout yet. Help!

Hey everyone, I'm in a bit of a pickle here. I certified for my unemployment benefits about 4 days ago, but I still haven't received my payout. Is anyone else experiencing delays with their payments? I'm starting to get worried because bills are piling up and I really need this money. Any advice or similar experiences would be appreciated!

I found a way to solve unemployment payment delays, watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=txNTNhBilik

Ugh, I feel you. The EDD system is such a mess rn. I certified last week and still nothing in my account. It's like they're playing games with our money 🙄

Same boat here. certified 5 days ago and crickets. This is getting ridiculous!

Have you guys tried calling? Sometimes theres a hold on the account that needs to be cleared

Calling? LOL good luck getting through. I've been trying for days and can't even get in the queue 🤡

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

Sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this?

$20 just to talk to someone? That's highway robbery!

I know it sounds sketchy, but I swear it worked for me. Got through in like an hour when I'd been trying for weeks. Sometimes you gotta spend money to make money, ya know?

Can confirm, I used it too. Expensive but worth it when ur desperate

Here's what I've learned from dealing with EDD for months: 1. Payments can take up to 10 business days to process, even after certification. 2. If there's an issue with your claim, it can cause delays. Check your UI Online account for any notifications. 3. Sometimes, there are random audits that slow things down. 4. Bank holidays can affect payment schedules. 5. If it's been more than 10 business days, definitely try to contact them. Hang in there, OP. The system is frustrating, but keep at it!

Thanks for the detailed info! I'll keep an eye on my account. Hopefully it's just a normal delay and not something worse 😓

This should be pinned somewhere, super helpful!

have u checked ur claim history? sometimes it shows as paid there before it hits ur bank account

I'm telling you, it's all a conspiracy. They're holding our money to earn interest on it. Wake up sheeple! 👀

Bruh, take off the tinfoil hat 🤣

You laugh now, but just wait. The truth will come out! 😤

Have you tried reaching out to your local assembly member? They can sometimes help push things through faster.

I hadn't thought of that. How do I find out who my assembly member is?

0 coins

Just google '[your city] assembly member'. They usually have a contact form on their website for constituent services. Good luck!

Congrats! Did you do anything special or it just came through on its own?

Hey Amara, I totally get your frustration! I went through the same thing last month - certified on a Tuesday and didn't see the money until the following Wednesday. What really helped me was logging into my UI Online account and checking the "Claim History" section to see if it shows as "Paid" there first (like Connor mentioned). Also, double-check that there aren't any weird notices or flags on your account that might be holding things up. If you're still worried after day 7-8, definitely try contacting them or reaching out to your assembly member like Keisha suggested. The waiting game is the worst part, but hang in there! 💪
