EDD account showing nothing after certification - What to do?
Hey everyone, I'm having an issue with my unemployment benefits. I checked my account and there's nothing showing up. Has anyone else experienced this? I'm pretty sure I certified correctly last time, but now I'm worried something went wrong. Any advice on what to do next?

Ugh, I've been there. It's so frustrating when the system doesn't work right. Have you tried calling the EDD? Sometimes they can see things on their end that we can't.

•I've been trying to call all morning but can't get through. It's like hitting a brick wall 😫

•Pro tip: call right when they open. I usually have better luck getting through then.

•Calling is useless, I swear they have like 2 people working the phones 🙄

Check ur spam folder! Sometimes the notifications end up there for some reason.

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

•Sounds too good to be true. Does it really work?

•Yeah, it actually does. I was skeptical at first too, but I was desperate and gave it a shot. Got through in about an hour.

•$20 just to talk to someone? The system is so broken 🤦♂️

•I know, it sucks we have to pay. But for me, it was worth it to finally get my issue resolved.

Have you checked if there's any maintenance scheduled? Sometimes they do updates and everything disappears for a bit. Don't panic yet!

•Oh, I didn't even think of that. Where can I find the maintenance schedule?

•It's usually on the EDD website homepage. They post alerts there.

This happened to me last month. Turns out my claim had expired and I needed to file a new one. Might be worth checking if that's your situation too.

The EDD system is such a joke. I swear it's held together with duct tape and prayers 🤣

Here's what you need to do: 1. Double-check your certification dates. Make sure you didn't miss a week. 2. Look for any messages in your EDD inbox. Sometimes they need additional info. 3. Verify your identity hasn't been flagged. This can cause payments to stop. 4. Check if your benefit year ended. You might need to reapply. 5. If all else fails, you NEED to talk to a rep. Use the trick someone mentioned above with the calling service, or keep trying the regular number. Don't give up! The system sucks, but persistence usually pays off. Good luck!
