EDD: Didn't receive continued benefits form this month - Help!
Hey everyone, I'm having an issue with my unemployment benefits. I didn't get my continued benefits form this month. Has anyone else experienced this? I'm worried it might delay my payments. Any advice on what I should do?

Ugh, that sucks. I've been there before. Have you tried calling the EDD? Sometimes they can resend the form or tell you why it didn't come.

•I've been trying to call all day but can't get through. It's so frustrating! 😤

•Pro tip: call right when they open. I usually have better luck getting through then.

•Thanks for the tip! I'll give that a shot tomorrow morning.

I found a method to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

•Sounds too good to be true. Is this legit?

•Yeah, it's legit. I was skeptical at first too, but it saved me hours of frustration. Worth every penny imo.

•How long did you have to wait for the call back?

•It took about 2 hours for me, but beats spending all day trying to get through!

This happened to me last year. Turns out they had the wrong address on file. Double-check your contact info on the EDD website if you can log in.

The whole system is broken af. They need to fix this shit. We shouldn't have to jump through hoops just to get our benefits. 🤬

•Preach! 🙌 It's like they're trying to make it as difficult as possible.

Here's what you need to do: 1. Check your online account to make sure all your info is up to date 2. Try to request a new form through the online portal if possible 3. If that doesn't work, you gotta call them. Use the trick someone mentioned about calling right when they open 4. If you still can't get through, consider using one of those paid services that waits on hold for you 5. While you're waiting, gather all your documents and previous correspondence just in case 6. When you do get through, ask them to email you the form if possible for faster processing 7. Make sure to explain that you never received the form and you're worried about payment delays 8. If all else fails, reach out to your local assemblyperson's office. They can sometimes help push things through Good luck! The system's a mess, but don't give up. You'll get it sorted eventually.

•Great advice! I'd add: keep a log of all your calls and attempts to contact them. It can help if you need to escalate the issue later.

Ugh, EDD and their never-ending issues. 🙄 Hang in there, OP. We're all in the same sinking boat.
