EDD payments delayed - no explanation online. Anyone else?
Hey everyone, I'm having some issues with my unemployment payments. They're coming in late and I'm not sure why. Has anyone else experienced this? I tried calling but couldn't get through. Any advice would be appreciated!

Ugh, I'm in the same boat. My payments have been delayed for weeks now. It's so frustrating! Have you checked your account online to see if there's any info about why it's late?

•Yeah, I checked online but there's nothing there explaining the delay. It just shows my claim as active. So confusing!

•Sometimes the online system doesn't update right away. Keep checking daily, it might change soon!

•That sucks. Maybe try reaching out on social media? I've heard some people have had luck getting responses that way.

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone! I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

•Sounds too good to be true. Are you sure it's legit?

•I was skeptical at first too, but I tried it and it actually worked! Got through to an agent in about an hour.

•20 bucks tho? That's kinda steep when we're already struggling with late payments 😬

•I get it, but for me it was worth it to finally get some answers. Beats calling for hours every day!

Have you checked if there's any identity verification or documents they need from you? That was the reason for my delay last month.

Here's what I've learned from dealing with late payments: 1. Check your online account daily for updates 2. Make sure all your documents are up to date 3. Try calling right when they open or just before closing 4. If you can't get through, try contacting your local representative 5. Keep a record of all your attempts to contact them Hope this helps! Hang in there, OP.

•Great tips! I'd add: check your spam folder regularly. Sometimes important emails end up there.

Hey OP, have you tried reaching out to your state representative? Sometimes they can help push things along with EDD.
