EDD disability payment delay since November - no response, what to do?
Hey everyone, I'm having a problem with my disability payments. I certified my benefits like usual, but I haven't received a payment since late November. It's been over a month now and I'm getting worried. Has anyone else experienced this kind of delay? Any ideas on what could be causing it or what I should do?

I found a way to solve disability payment delays, watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=honuwyv78w4

Ugh, that sucks. I've been there before. Have you tried calling the EDD? Sometimes there's a glitch in their system and they need to manually push the payment through.

•I've been trying to call but can't get through. It's so frustrating! 😤

•Pro tip: call right when they open. I usually have better luck getting through then.

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

•Sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this?

•$20 just to talk to someone? That's ridiculous. The system is so broken 🤦♂️

•I know it sounds sketchy, but I swear it worked for me. Saved me hours of frustration.

•Can you give more details about how it works? Is it legit?

•Yeah, it's legit. You just put in your phone number and they call you when they get an agent. Took about 2 hours for me but I didn't have to sit by the phone the whole time.

Have you checked your EDD account online? Sometimes there's a message there about why payments are delayed. Could be something simple like needing to verify your identity again.

This happened to me last year. Turns out they flagged my account for a random audit. Took forever to sort out. Hope that's not what's happening to you, OP!

•Oh no, I hope not! How long did it take you to resolve it?

•It took about 6 weeks total. But once I got through to someone, they backdated all my payments. Hang in there!

Here's what you need to do: 1. Check your EDD account for any messages or alerts 2. Make sure all your certifications are showing as submitted 3. Double-check that your mailing address and bank info are correct 4. If everything looks good, you need to call them 5. Be persistent - call multiple times if you have to 6. If you can't get through, try contacting your local state representative. They can sometimes help push things through If none of that works, you might have to consider filing an appeal. But hopefully it doesn't come to that. Good luck!

•Thank you so much for this detailed response! I'll start working through this list right away.

•This is great advice. I'd add: keep a log of all your calls and attempts to contact them. It can help if you need to escalate things later.

•Totally agree. It's a full-time job just trying to get your benefits sometimes.

Have you tried reaching out on Twitter? Sometimes their social media team is more responsive than the phone lines. Worth a shot!
