EDD Disability Payments Not Received - What to Do?

Hey everyone, I'm having trouble with my disability payments. I haven't received anything yet and I'm getting really worried. Has anyone else experienced this? Any advice on what I should do next?

I found a way to solve disability payment delays, watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nXo9VkKhbGY

Ugh, I'm in the same boat. It's been weeks and still nothing. The EDD system is such a mess rn 😤

Weeks? Try months! I've been waiting since January. This is ridiculous.

Have you guys tried calling? I know its a pain, but sometimes thats the only way to get answers

Calling is impossible. I've tried like 50 times and can never get through 🤦‍♂️

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

Sounds too good to be true. Are you sure its legit?

Yeah, I was skeptical at first too. But I tried it and got through in about an hour. Saved me days of frustration.

$20 tho? That's kinda steep when were already struggling 😕

I get it, but for me it was worth it to finally get some answers. Plus, time is money, ya know?

Have you checked your online account? Sometimes there's info there about why payments are delayed. Could be missing docs or somethin

THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE!!! We need to organize and demand better service from EDD. Who's with me?!?!

Calm down, Karen. Yelling won't fix anything lol

Don't call me Karen! 😠 I'm just fed up with this broken system!

Ok, let me break this down for you. There are a few reasons why you might not have received your disability payments yet: 1. Application errors: Double-check that you filled out everything correctly. 2. Missing documents: Make sure you've submitted all required medical certifications. 3. Processing delays: EDD is notoriously slow, especially since COVID. 4. Eligibility issues: There might be questions about your claim. Here's what you can do: - Review your online account for any messages or requests for info. - Try to get through on the phone (use that calling service someone mentioned if you're desperate). - Contact your local state representative's office. They can sometimes help push things along. - If all else fails, file an appeal. Hang in there, and good luck!

Wow, thanks for the detailed response! I'll def check my online account again and try to call.

This is great advice. Wish I had known all this when I first applied!

Plot twist: EDD is actually run by a bunch of sloths. That's why everything takes foreverrrrr 🦥😂
