Disability payments not received, funds not cleared - Need urgent help!
Hey everyone, I'm having a major issue with my disability payments. They haven't been coming through and I'm still waiting for the funds to clear. I've been trying to get in touch with someone at the disability office to sort this out, but no luck so far. Has anyone else dealt with this? Any advice on how to get this resolved quickly? I'm really starting to worry about bills piling up.

Ugh, I feel your pain. I've been in the same boat for weeks now. It's like they just forget about us once we're in the system. Have you tried calling first thing in the morning? Sometimes that works for me.

Calling in the morning? lol good luck with that. I've been trying for MONTHS and still can't get through. The system is totally broken 😡

I had some luck emailing them actually. Takes a few days but at least you get a response. Try disability@state.gov

Listen up, I found a method that actually works to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Check out this video for more info: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

Sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this? Kinda skeptical about paying for something like this tbh

Wait, you have to PAY to talk to someone about your benefits? That's messed up. The system is so broken 🤦♂️

I get the skepticism, but it seriously worked for me. After weeks of trying, I finally got through. The $20 was worth it to get my issues sorted. Just sharing what worked for me!

Here's what you need to do: 1. Document everything. Keep a log of all your attempts to contact them. 2. Reach out to your local state representative. They often have contacts in the disability office. 3. File a formal complaint with the state oversight committee. 4. If all else fails, consider contacting local media. Sometimes public pressure helps. 5. Join disability advocacy groups on social media. They often have insider tips. Remember, persistence is key. Don't give up!

This is solid advice right here 💯 Especially contacting your rep. They helped me out big time when I was stuck in limbo for months.

Thank you so much for the kind words. It's easy to get caught up in the stress of it all. I'll try to remember to take a step back and breathe.

Yo, this might sound crazy, but have you tried tweeting at them? I did that out of frustration once and surprisingly got a response. Worth a shot if nothing else is working 🤷♂️

Social media callouts can be hit or miss. Sometimes they respond just to save face, other times they ignore you completely. But hey, at this point what do you have to lose?

OP, what state are you in? The process can vary a lot depending on where you are. In my state, there's a specific ombudsman office for disability payment issues that can sometimes help speed things up.
