SDI October Payment Never Received - Disability Extended but No Money
Hey everyone, I'm having a major issue with my disability payments. I was supposed to receive my October payment but it never came through. My doctor extended my disability through December, but I'm still waiting on that October money. Has anyone else experienced delays like this? Any advice on how to get this sorted out?

I found a way to solve delayed disability payment issues, watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TA2iHbFZmXs

Ugh, I feel your pain. The disability payment system is such a mess rn. Have you tried calling them? It's a pain, but sometimes that's the only way to get answers.

•Pro tip: call right when they open. I managed to get through after only 30 mins on hold that way.

I had a similar issue last year. Here's what worked for me: 1. Document everything. Keep a log of all your attempts to contact them. 2. Send a written request via certified mail. This creates a paper trail. 3. Contact your local state representative. They can sometimes intervene on your behalf. 4. If all else fails, consider filing a formal complaint with the state oversight agency. It's a long process, but persistence is key. Don't give up!

•This is solid advice. I work in healthcare admin and can confirm that a paper trail is crucial. Good luck, OP!

have you checked your online account? sometimes the payments show up there before they hit your bank account

I found a method to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video explaining it: https://youtu.be/DOLxZQb92wM

•Sounds too good to be true. Is this legit?

•Yeah, it's legit. I was skeptical at first too, but it saved me hours of frustration. Worth every penny imo.

•How long did it take for them to get through?

•It took about 2 hours for me, but I didn't have to sit there listening to hold music the whole time. They just called me when an agent was on the line.

This is why we need to overhaul the entire system. It's a joke that people who are already struggling have to jump through so many hoops. 🤬

Have you considered reaching out to a disability advocate? They might be able to help navigate the system and expedite your case.

•I hadn't thought of that. Do you know how to find a reputable advocate?

•Try contacting your local legal aid office or disability rights organization. They often have resources or can point you in the right direction.

Hey, just a heads up - there was a glitch in the system last month that caused some payments to be delayed. They said they're working on it, but who knows how long that'll take. Might be worth mentioning when you finally get through to someone.
