SDI payment delayed a month despite doctor sending extension paperwork. Any advice?
Hey everyone, I'm in a bit of a pickle here. It's been a month since I've received any disability payments, even though my doctor sent in all the paperwork for my extension. Has anyone else experienced this kind of delay? I'm starting to get worried about bills piling up. Any advice on how to speed things up or at least get some info on what's going on?

I found a way to solve disability payment delays, watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HIHaNDOxtg8

Ugh, I feel your pain. I went through something similar last year. Have you tried calling the disability office? Fair warning though, getting through to a human is like trying to win the lottery 🎰

•Yeah, I've been trying to call but it's always busy or I'm on hold forever. It's so frustrating!

•Pro tip: call right when they open. Sometimes you can catch them before the lines get jammed.

•Calling is useless tbh. I spent 3 days trying and got nowhere. There has to be a better way 🤔

I found a method to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

•Sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this?

•I get the skepticism, but it seriously saved me hours of frustration. Worth every penny imo

•Can you explain more about how it works? Do they just keep redialing or what?

•From what I understand, they use some kind of AI to navigate the phone menus and detect when a human picks up. Then it calls you. Pretty nifty tech!

Here's what you need to do: 1. Double-check that your doctor actually sent the paperwork. Sometimes they say they did but it gets lost in the shuffle. 2. If confirmed sent, call the disability office and ask for a status update. Be prepared with your claim number and all relevant dates. 3. If they say they never received it, ask for a fax number and have your doctor resend ASAP. 4. Keep a log of all your calls and who you spoke to. 5. If it's been more than 2 weeks since they received your paperwork, ask to speak to a supervisor. 6. As a last resort, contact your local state representative. They can sometimes expedite things. Remember, persistence is key. Don't let them off the hook until you get answers and your money. Good luck!

The whole system is broken af. I've been waiting 3 months for my appeal to go through. It's like they want us to give up 🙄

•Preach! 🙌 The bureaucracy is insane. We need major reforms.

•It's not broken, it's designed this way. They make it hard on purpose to discourage people from claiming benefits. Stay strong and don't let them win!

Have you considered reaching out to a disability advocate? They can sometimes help navigate the system and speed things up. Might be worth looking into if things don't improve soon.

•I hadn't thought of that. Do you know how to find a reputable advocate?

•Try contacting your local legal aid office or disability rights organization. They often have lists of trusted advocates or might even offer free services themselves.
