SDI Extension Submitted 2 Weeks Ago, Still No Payment - Help!
Hey everyone, I'm in a bit of a pickle here. My doctor uploaded an extension paper for my disability benefits two weeks ago, but I still haven't received any payment. Has anyone else experienced this? I'm starting to get worried about bills piling up. Any advice on what I should do or who I should contact?

Ugh, I feel ya. The system is so slow sometimes. Have you tried calling them? That's usually the best way to get answers.

I've been trying to call, but the lines are always busy. It's so frustrating!

Pro tip: call right when they open. You might have better luck getting through.

Calling is the worst. I spent 3 hours on hold last week and then got disconnected 🤬

I found a method to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

Sounds too good to be true. Does it really work?

Yeah, it does! I was skeptical at first too, but it saved me hours of frustration.

I get it, but think about how much your time is worth. For me, not sitting on hold for hours was totally worth it.

Here's what you need to do: 1. Double-check with your doctor that they submitted everything correctly. Sometimes there can be errors on their end. 2. Log into your online account and make sure all your info is up to date. 3. If you can get through on the phone, ask them specifically about the status of your extension and if there are any holds on your account. 4. If all else fails, contact your local representative. They can sometimes help push things through. Hang in there! The system is frustrating, but persistence usually pays off.

This is great advice. I'd add: keep a log of all your calls and attempts to contact them. It can be helpful if you need to escalate the issue.

I heard they're super backlogged because of some new policy changes. Might be why it's taking so long.

Source? I haven't seen anything about new policies.

Have you tried reaching out on social media? Sometimes tweeting at them can get a response faster than calling.

This might sound crazy, but have you tried going to their office in person? I did that last year when I was having issues and actually got help pretty quick.

I second this! Face-to-face interactions can sometimes work wonders.
