SDI Payment Delay: Completed Waiting Period 2+ Weeks Ago, No Updates. What Now?
Hey everyone, I'm getting really frustrated with my disability claim. I submitted all the required docs, including my doctor's portion, and completed the 7-day waiting period over two weeks ago. But I still haven't received any payment or updates online. Has anyone else experienced this? Any advice on what I should do next? I'm starting to worry about my bills piling up.

I found a way to solve disability claim payment delays, watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tJBwVDM0owE

Ugh, I feel your pain! I went through something similar last month. It's so frustrating when you do everything right and still get radio silence. Have you tried calling them directly? Sometimes that's the only way to get answers.

•I've been trying to call, but the lines are always busy. It's like hitting a brick wall every time 😫

•Pro tip: call right when they open. I mean like, the second they open. Set an alarm and everything. It's annoying, but it worked for me!

•Thanks for the tip! I'll give that a shot tomorrow morning. Fingers crossed 🤞

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/Ize0EkN4HDI

•Sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this?

•20 bucks? Idk man, seems kinda steep just to talk to someone...

•I get the skepticism, but honestly, after weeks of trying to get through, it was worth every penny for me. Saved me so much time and stress.

•How long did you have to wait once the call connected?

•It took about an hour for them to get through the hold time, but I just went about my day until my phone rang. Way better than being stuck listening to hold music!

Here's what I've learned from my experience with disability claims: • Be persistent! Keep calling and checking your online account. • Double-check that all your docs are actually marked as received in the system. • Sometimes there's a backlog and claims take longer to process than the stated timeframe. • If you're in dire need, ask about the possibility of a partial payment. • Consider reaching out to your local state representative's office. They can sometimes help push things along. Hang in there, OP. The system is frustrating, but you'll get through this!

•Wow, thank you so much for this detailed response! I hadn't thought about contacting my state rep. That's a great idea.

•This is solid advice right here 💯 Especially the part about checking if docs are marked as received. That tripped me up big time!

The whole system is broken af. I've been waiting for 2 months now. TWO MONTHS! How are we supposed to survive like this? 🤬

•Preach! 👏 It's like they forget we have bills to pay and food to buy.

•Have you tried contacting your local news station? Sometimes public pressure can work wonders...

Quick question - did you make sure to certify for your weeks? I made that mistake my first time and it delayed everything.

Molly Hansen
•Yeah, I did certify. That's why I'm so confused about the delay. Thanks for checking though!

Not to be that guy, but have you tried faxing your documents? I know it sounds like we're back in 1995, but it worked for me when the online system was being glitchy.

•There are online fax services! Welcome to 2023, where we use the internet to pretend it's 1995 lol

I'm going through the exact same thing right now! Filed my SDI claim 3 weeks ago, completed the waiting period, submitted all docs including the doctor's forms, and... crickets. It's so stressful when you're already dealing with a disability and then have to worry about money too. I've been checking the portal obsessively but there's literally no update since I submitted everything. Really hoping someone here has found a solution that actually works!

•OMG yes! It's like we're all living the same nightmare right now. The stress of dealing with a disability is bad enough without having to worry about whether you'll be able to pay rent. I've been in the same boat - obsessively refreshing that portal hoping for literally ANY update. Have you tried any of the suggestions people mentioned above? I'm thinking about trying that early morning calling strategy that @Skylar Neal mentioned. We shouldn't have to jump through all these hoops just to get the benefits we're entitled to! 😤
