EDD Disability Payment Delayed 1+ Month - Missing Docs? Need Help ASAP!

Hey everyone, I'm in a tough spot. It's been over a month since I applied for disability benefits and I still haven't received any payment. I'm really struggling financially and need this money ASAP. Has anyone else experienced such a long delay? I think there might be some issues with missing documents or verification, but I'm not sure. Any advice on how to speed up the process or get an update on my claim?

I found a way to solve disability benefits payment delay, watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5BGupiNA94Q

Ugh, I feel your pain. I went through something similar last year. Have you tried calling the EDD office? It's a pain in the butt, but sometimes that's the only way to get answers.

I've been trying to call for days, but I can never get through. It's so frustrating! 😤

Pro tip: call right when they open. Like, set an alarm and everything. Sometimes you can get lucky and snag a spot in the queue.

Calling is useless tbh. I spent hours on hold and got nowhere. There's gotta be a better way

I found a method that actually works to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

Sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this?

20 bucks? That's highway robbery! The government should make it easier to reach them without having to pay extra šŸ™„

I know it sounds sketchy, but I swear it worked for me. Saved me hours of frustration. Sometimes you gotta spend money to make money, ya know?

Can you give more details about how it works? Is it legit?

Sure thing! It's pretty simple. You go to their website, choose the EDD line, pay the fee, and they start calling. When they get a real person, your phone rings and you're connected. Saved me a ton of time and headache.

Listen up, because I've been through this rodeo before. Here's what you need to do: • First, double-check that you've submitted ALL required documents. They won't tell you if something's missing, so you gotta be proactive. • Next, send a follow-up email to the EDD. Be polite but firm. Explain your situation and ask for a status update. • If you can, try to find your local assembly member's office. They often have liaisons who can help push things along with EDD. • Keep a paper trail of everything. Every call, every email, every piece of mail. You might need it later. • Finally, don't give up. The system is frustrating, but persistence pays off. Hang in there, OP. We're all in this leaky boat together. šŸ’Ŗ

Wow, thank you so much for this detailed advice! I'll definitely try reaching out to my assembly member. Didn't even know that was an option!

It's not just this country, mate. Bureaucracy is a universal language of pain šŸ˜‚

Hey, has anyone tried using one of those paid advocacy services? I've seen ads but idk if theyre worth it or just a scam

I used one last year. It was expensive but they did get my claim sorted faster. YMMV tho

Those things are ripoffs imo. Just do the legwork yourself and save the $$
