SDI Payment Delay: Applied but Haven't Received Anything Yet. Help!

Hey everyone, I'm really frustrated. I applied for disability benefits a while ago and I still haven't received any payments. Has anyone else experienced this? How long did it take for you to get your first payment? I'm starting to worry that something went wrong with my application.

I found a way to solve disability payment delays, watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E1Q_M4C9Leo

Ugh, I feel your pain. I was in the same boat a few months ago. It took almost 8 weeks for me to get my first payment. The waiting game is brutal.

8 weeks?! That's insane. I thought it was supposed to be faster than that. Did you have to do anything special to finally get it?

Nah, just had to wait it out. I called them like a million times but it didn't seem to speed things up. Just gotta be patient I guess šŸ™„

patience is a virtue they say...but bills dont wait lol

Have you tried calling them? Sometimes there's a hold-up that they don't tell you about unless you ask.

I've tried calling but I can never get through. It's always busy or I'm on hold forever. 😫

Pro tip: call right when they open. You might have better luck getting through.

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/Ize0EkN4HDI

Sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this?

20 bucks? Idk man, seems kinda sketchy

I get the skepticism, but it seriously worked for me. Saved me hours of frustration. Worth every penny imo

Here's what you need to know about disability payments: • Processing time can vary, but typically takes 2-4 weeks • Make sure all your paperwork is complete and accurate • If it's been longer than 4 weeks, definitely follow up • Check your online account for any messages or requests for additional info • Sometimes payments can be delayed due to high volume of claims • If you have a complex case, it might take longer Hang in there! The system is frustrating but eventually it does work out for most people.

Thank you so much for this detailed info! It's been about 3 weeks for me, so I guess I'll give it another week before I start really worrying.

Did you make sure to fill out Form XYZ-123? I forgot that one and it delayed my whole application by like a month šŸ¤¦ā€ā™‚ļø

0 coins

Oh no, I'm not sure if I did that one. Where can I find it?

It should be on there website under 'additional forms'. If you cant find it, try calling them (if you can get through lol
