SDI claim pending for over a month, no payments received. Any advice?
Hey everyone, I'm in a bit of a pickle here. I've been out of work since early November due to an injury, and my doctor submitted all the paperwork for my disability claim about a week later. It's been over a month now, and I still haven't received any payments. The online system just shows my claim as 'pending'. Has anyone else dealt with this? Any advice on how to speed things up or at least get an update on what's going on?

I found a way to solve disability claim payment delays, watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fCqj7pMzeaM

Ugh, I feel your pain. The system is so slow rn its ridiculous. I waited almost 2 months for my first payment. Have you tried calling them? That's what finally worked for me.

•I've been trying to call but can never get through. It's always busy or I'm on hold forever. Did you have any tricks to actually reach a human?

•Honestly, I just kept calling over and over. It took me like 50 tries over 3 days. Super frustrating but eventually got lucky. Hang in there!

•50 tries?! That's insane. There's gotta be a better way. Has anyone tried going to an office in person?

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

•Sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this? Is it legit?

•I was skeptical too, but it really did work for me. Saved me hours of frustration. Worth every penny imo.

•20 bucks to actually talk to someone? Might have to give it a shot. Thx for sharing!

Here's what I've learned from my experience: • First, double-check that all your paperwork is complete. Any missing info can cause delays. • If you can, try to get through on the phone. Early morning (right when they open) or late afternoon tend to be less busy. • Check your online account daily for any updates or requests for additional info. • If it's been more than 6 weeks, you can file for a hardship advance. It's not much, but it's something. • Consider reaching out to your local state representative. They sometimes can help push things along. Hang in there! The system is frustratingly slow, but they do eventually get to everyone. 💪

Oof, a month with no income? That's rough buddy. The system is totally borked rn. Have you considered setting up a GoFundMe or something to help tide you over?

•I hadn't thought of that... might be a good backup plan if this drags on much longer. Thanks for the suggestion!

Not to be that guy, but have you double-checked all your paperwork? Sometimes a tiny mistake can hold up the whole process. Might be worth reviewing everything again just in case.

•No worries, that's a fair point. I'll give everything another look. Can't hurt to be sure!
