Filed for family leave in October, still no update from EDD. Anyone else waiting this long?
Has anyone else been waiting forever for an update on their family leave claim? I filed mine back in October and still haven't heard anything. It's been months! I'm starting to get really worried about how I'm gonna pay my bills. Anyone know how long this usually takes or if there's a way to speed things up?

Quick question - how long did it take for y'all to get your first payment after your claim was approved? I'm going on week 3 and still nothing...
I got mine after about 10 business days. If it's been 3 weeks, you should definitely call and check on it.

Can't access account due to old email, EDD phone lines always full. Help!
I'm having a nightmare with my account. It's linked to an old email I can't access anymore. When I try to log in, it says it sent a code to that email, but I obviously can't get it. I've called so many times, but every single time I get a recording saying they've reached their max number of callers and then I get hung up on. I've even mailed forms to them, but no response. Anyone else dealing with this? Any ideas on how to actually get through to a human?

This is why I always keep access to old email accounts, even if I don't use them anymore. Lesson learned the hard way, I guess.
SDI October Payment Never Received - Disability Extended but No Money
Hey everyone, I'm having a major issue with my disability payments. I was supposed to receive my October payment but it never came through. My doctor extended my disability through December, but I'm still waiting on that October money. Has anyone else experienced delays like this? Any advice on how to get this sorted out?

Hey, just a heads up - there was a glitch in the system last month that caused some payments to be delayed. They said they're working on it, but who knows how long that'll take. Might be worth mentioning when you finally get through to someone.

EDD benefits calculation after job change - old vs new income?
Hey everyone, I need some advice. I recently changed jobs and I'm wondering how this might affect my unemployment benefits. When I first filed for unemployment, I was working at a different place than where I am now. Does anyone know if they'll base my benefits on my income from my new job or my old one? I'm a bit confused about how this works and I'm trying to prepare for my call with them. Any insights would be really helpful!

Has anyone had luck with the EDD website? I've been trying to update my info online but keep getting error messages. wondering if its just me or if the site is busted again
The website is always a mess. Try clearing your cache and cookies, sometimes that helps. If not, you might have to bite the bullet and call them 😕
pro tip: use incognito mode. works like a charm for me

Have you tried faxing your claim? I know it sounds crazy, but I've heard some people have had luck with that. Apparently, the fax goes to a different department or something.

guys i think i figured it out. if you sacrafice a goat under the full moon while chanting the state anthem backwards, your claim gets approved instantly. worked for me! 🐐🌕
