Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Ive been dealing with EDD for 3 years now and I swear they make these "mistakes" on purpose to save money. Stay vigilant and don't let them get away with it!

Okay, here's what I've learned after dealing with EDD for the past 6 months: 1. Persistence is key. Keep calling, even if it seems hopeless. 2. Use the online portal for everything you can. It's slower but more reliable than calling. 3. If you must call, try early mornings or late afternoons on Wednesdays or Thursdays. 4. Have all your info ready before you call. They'll ask for your SSN, claim number, and other details. 5. Be polite to the reps. They're overwhelmed too. 6. If one rep can't help, politely ask to speak to a tier 2 specialist. 7. Document everything. Write down who you talked to and what they said. 8. Check your spam folder regularly. Sometimes important emails end up there. 9. Join Facebook groups or Reddit communities for real-time updates and tips. 10. Consider contacting your local assembly member if you're really stuck. They can sometimes expedite things. Great advice! I'd add: make sure your contact info is up to date on your EDD account. I missed important updates because they had my old number.

I'm in the same boat, waiting since early November. This wait is killing me. Bills don't stop just because EDD is slow 😫
Pro tip: if you can't get through on the main line, try calling some of the other departments. Sometimes they can transfer you internally and it's faster than waiting on the main queue.

I've had luck with the general info line and the tech support line. Just be super polite and they're usually willing to help!

Here's what I've learned from dealing with EDD for the past year: • Faxed timesheets usually take 7-10 business days to process • Online submissions are faster, usually 3-5 business days • If you haven't heard anything after 2 weeks, definitely follow up • Keep copies of EVERYTHING you send them • Try calling first thing in the morning or right before they close for better chances of getting through • Be prepared for long hold times if you do call • Check your EDD account online regularly for updates Hope this helps!
