Have you tried reaching out on social media? Sometimes tweeting at EDD or posting on their FB page gets a faster response. Worth a shot!
Pro tip: if you're gonna use that claimyr service, do it early in the morning. I got through in like 30 minutes when I called at 8:15am!
Have you checked your online account? Sometimes they update info there without sending a notification.
I'm convinced they're just sitting on a pile of our claims, laughing at us struggling to pay bills. The whole system needs an overhaul.
Has anyone tried going to the local EDD office in person? I've heard mixed things, but I'm getting desperate enough to try anything at this point.

Anyone else notice that it seems to go faster if you have a corporate job vs. being self-employed or working for a small business? Or is that just my imagination?

•Omg yes! I thought I was the only one who noticed this. My partner works for a big tech company and their claim went through in like a week. Meanwhile, I'm over here twiddling my thumbs... 🙄

Hey OP, just a heads up - make sure you're still certifying for benefits while you wait for a response. I made the mistake of not doing that and it caused a whole other headache. Don't be like me! 😅

•Oh wow, I didn't even think about that. Thanks for the tip! I'll make sure to keep certifying.
