PFL Application: 4 weeks, no response. Normal or concerning?

Has anyone else been waiting forever to hear back about their paid family leave application? I submitted mine 4 weeks ago and still haven't heard anything. Starting to get worried. Is this normal or should I be concerned?

I found a way to solve long paid family leave delays, watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qj8KgF2exGM

Ugh, I feel you. I've been waiting for 6 weeks now. It's so frustrating! 😤 The silence is killing me. Anyone know if there's a way to check the status?

6 weeks?! That's insane. Have you tried calling them? I heard sometimes that can speed things up.

I've tried calling but its impossible to get through. Always busy or they hang up on me šŸ™„

I actually found a way to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/DOLxZQb92wM

Sounds too good to be true. Are you sure it's legit?

Yeah, I was skeptical at first too. But I tried it and it actually worked. Got through to someone in about an hour.

$20 just to talk to someone? That's ridiculous. The system is so broken šŸ¤¦ā€ā™‚ļø

I get it, but for me it was worth it. Beats calling 100 times a day for weeks šŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļø

Here's what I've learned from my experience and research: • Processing times can vary wildly, from 2-8 weeks typically • They're severely understaffed right now due to budget cuts • Missing info on your application can cause major delays • Sometimes they don't notify you if something's missing • Calling can help, but it's nearly impossible to get through • Check your spam folder for emails from them • Make sure your address is up to date in their system Hope this helps! Hang in there, OP!

Have you checked your online account? Sometimes they update the status there before sending any notifications.

I didn't even know there was an online account šŸ˜… How do I set that up?

Go to the PFL website and look for 'Create Account' or 'Register'. You'll need your SSN and application number. Good luck!

Unpopular opinion: maybe we should all just be grateful this benefit exists at all? In many states, ppl don't even have paid family leave. Just sayin šŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø

Bootlicker alert 🚨 Just because others have it worse doesn't mean we can't expect better service

Wow, chill. I'm just trying to add some perspective here.

Pro tip: if you can, get your HR department involved. Sometimes they can expedite things or at least get more info.

Anyone else notice how they always seem to lose the faxed documents? I've had to resend mine like 3 times now šŸ™„
