If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

I spent 20 years working with the CA disability system (before retiring) and here's what most people don't know: sometimes claims get "stuck" in the system because of a simple technical flag that no one is addressing. Your claim is likely sitting in someone's work queue but not being prioritized. The online messages rarely get prompt responses when they're backed up like they are now. If I were you, I'd: 1. Try that Claimyr service someone mentioned - getting a live person is essential 2. Contact your Assembly member (also great advice) 3. Have your doctor's office call the medical provider line (they have a separate number) And a tip: When you do reach someone, ask specifically if there are any "technical stops" or "review flags" on your claim. Those are the internal terms they use for issues that need manual review. Good luck with your recovery!

Thank you so much for the insider perspective! I'll definitely ask about "technical stops" and "review flags" when I get through. And I'll ask my doctor about calling their special provider line too - I didn't know that existed.

UPDATE: I finally got through to EDD this morning using Claimyr! Turns out there was an employer verification issue that wasn't showing up in my online portal. The rep said my employer hadn't responded to their request for information (typical of my company). She was able to override it since I had all my documentation and paystubs. My claim is now being processed and I should receive payment within 48 hours. Thank you all for the advice and support. I'm also following up with my Assembly member's office as a backup. This has been the most stressful part of my recovery.

So typical!!! Glad you got it fixed but WHY don't they just TELL US when there's a problem instead of making us chase them down??? The whole system is designed to make people give up!!! 🤬

I didn't ask about electronic submission! That's smart. I'll have my husband call the doctor's office today to see if they can submit it that way instead of giving us the paper form.

Just saw your replies about needing money quickly while waiting. If your wife qualifies for SDI, she's probably also eligible for a temporary disability advance. Call and specifically ask for this - they can sometimes issue a partial payment while the full claim is still processing. Not everyone knows to ask for this!

This is incredibly helpful! I had no idea this was even an option. We'll definitely ask about this if we can get through to someone. Thank you!

this whole system is so confusing to me!! so theres SDI and PDL and PFL and they're all different things?? and some are before birth and some are after?? why cant they just make ONE maternity system that covers everything!! its ridiculous how complicated they make this stuff when your already dealing with pregnancy problems!!

0 coins

I know it's confusing! Here's the simple version: 1. If you're pregnant and can't work: SDI pays you (what they call Pregnancy Disability Leave) 2. After baby is born and you're bonding: PFL pays you You're right that it should be simpler, but at least California HAS these programs. Many states don't offer any paid leave at all!

hey just wondering did u get approved yet? im in similar situation (not exact same but pregnancy complication) n wondering how long ur wait was

Yes! My claim was just approved yesterday - took about 10 days from when I submitted everything. Not as bad as I feared. Make sure your doctor is super specific about why you can't work - I think that helped mine go through faster.

One more important thing: if your illness lasts longer than expected, you may need to have your doctor extend your disability period. They can do this by submitting additional medical certification. Don't wait until the last minute for this - have your doctor submit the extension at least 5-7 days before your current certification ends to avoid interruption in benefits.

Excelente consejo. Mi médico cree que necesitaré al menos 6 semanas para recuperarme completamente, así que me aseguraré de que lo indique correctamente en el formulario inicial. Y si necesito más tiempo, pediré la extensión con anticipación.
