EDD phone hung up - Continued claim issues. Any tips to reach a human?

Ugh, welcome to the club. 🙄 The EDD phone system is a total nightmare. I've been trying to get through for weeks now. It's like they don't want us to actually talk to anyone.

I found a method that actually works to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's what I've learned after dealing with EDD for months: 1. Call right when they open at 8 AM. You might have better luck. 2. If you get through the menu, don't hang up even if it says there's a long wait. 3. Try calling on different days of the week. Mondays and Tuesdays are usually the busiest. 4.
