EDD phone hung up - Continued claim issues. Any tips to reach a human?

Hey everyone, I'm having trouble with my continued claim. I tried calling the EDD but the phone just hung up on me. Has anyone else experienced this? Any tips on how to get through to a real person? I'm getting really frustrated here.

Ugh, welcome to the club. 🙄 The EDD phone system is a total nightmare. I've been trying to get through for weeks now. It's like they don't want us to actually talk to anyone.

For real tho. Its like playing the lottery, except instead of winning money, you get to talk to a human being. 😂

I swear they do it on purpose to discourage ppl from claiming. Keep trying OP, don't let them win!

I found a method that actually works to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

Sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this?

20 bucks? Thats highway robbery! The government should make this service free.

I get the skepticism, but it seriously saved me hours of frustration. Worth every penny imho.

How long did it take for them to call you back?

It took about 2 hours for me, but I've heard it can vary. Still way better than trying to call yourself all day!

Here's what I've learned after dealing with EDD for months: 1. Call right when they open at 8 AM. You might have better luck. 2. If you get through the menu, don't hang up even if it says there's a long wait. 3. Try calling on different days of the week. Mondays and Tuesdays are usually the busiest. 4. Use the online portal as much as possible for simple issues. 5. If all else fails, contact your local assembly member's office. They can sometimes intervene on your behalf. Hope this helps, OP. Don't give up!

I tried the assembly member thing and they actually helped! Took a few weeks but better than nothing.

I'm in the same boat, OP. Been trying to sort out my continued claim for weeks now. The whole system is a joke. Anyone know if there's been any news about them improving their phone systems?

LOL improving? In this economy? We'll be lucky if they don't make it worse somehow.

I heard they were gonna upgrade their systems last year, but haven't seen any difference. Classic government efficiency 🙄

Pro tip: if you're having issues with your continued claim, double-check that you've reported all your work and earnings correctly. Sometimes small mistakes can cause big headaches.

Thanks for the advice! I'll definitely go over everything again. It's just so frustrating when you can't get anyone on the phone to clarify things.
