EDD Impossible to Reach: Any Tips for Actually Getting Through?

Hey everyone, I've been having a lot of trouble getting through to EDD lately. I've tried calling multiple times over the past couple of days, but no luck. Anyone else experiencing this? Any tips on how to actually get a hold of someone?

I found a way to solve EDD call center frustrations, watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aYUu4DzHYYA

Ugh, tell me about it. I've been trying to reach them for weeks now. It's like they don't even want to help us 🙄

Same here! I've called like 50 times this week alone. This is ridiculous.

Yeah, I've tried that. Still no luck. It's like playing the lottery at this point 😫

I found a method that actually works to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video explaining it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

Sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this?

$20? That's kinda steep just to talk to someone...

I know it sounds sketchy, but I swear it worked for me. After weeks of trying, I finally got through. Worth every penny imo

Can you give more details about how it works? Is it legit?

Sure! You just go to their website, choose the EDD line, pay, and they start calling. When they get a real person, your phone rings. Simple as that.

I've had some success by calling right at 8:01 AM when they open. You gotta be quick tho, the lines fill up fast!

This is getting out of hand. We need to start a petition or something to get EDD to improve their customer service. It's not fair that we're left hanging like this.

100% agree. But who do we even send it to? feels like shouting into the void 😩

Good point. Maybe our local representatives? They might be able to put some pressure on EDD.

Here's what I've learned after dealing with EDD for months: 1. Persistence is key. Keep calling, even if it feels hopeless. 2. Try different times of day. Early morning and late afternoon seem to work best. 3. Use the online portal as much as possible for simple issues. 4. If you get through, ask for a direct number or extension for follow-ups. 5. Be prepared with all your info before you call. Have your claim number, ID, and any relevant documents ready. 6. Be polite to the rep, even if you're frustrated. They're more likely to go the extra mile. 7. If all else fails, contact your local assembly member's office. They can sometimes intervene on your behalf. Hope this helps someone. Stay strong, we're all in this together! 💪

Pro tip: if you have a complex issue, try to get transferred to a tier 2 specialist. They have more authority to actually solve problems.

I'm so fed up with this. Been trying to resolve an issue for 3 months now. EDD is a joke.

Has anyone tried using the UI Online mobile app? Is it any better than the website?

It's basically the same tbh. Maybe slightly more convenient, but still has all the same issues
