EDD Payment Issues: Tips for Getting Through to a Real Person?
Hey everyone, I'm having some issues with my EDD payment and I need to talk to someone. Has anyone had any luck getting through to a real person on the phone? I've been trying for days and keep getting stuck in the automated system. Any tips or tricks would be really appreciated!

Ugh, I feel your pain. I've been trying to get through for weeks now. It's like they don't want us to actually talk to anyone. 🤬

•Same here! It's so frustrating. I've tried calling at different times of the day, but no luck.

•Have you tried calling right when they open? I heard that's the best time to get through.

•Yeah, I've tried that too. Still no luck. It's like playing the lottery at this point.

I actually found a method that worked for me! I used this site called claimyr.com. It's a calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to your phone. It does cost $20, but it totally works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

•I get the skepticism, but I swear it worked for me. Saved me hours of frustration. Worth every penny imo.

Here's what I've learned after months of dealing with EDD: 1. Persistence is key. Keep calling, even if it feels hopeless. 2. Try calling at off-peak hours, like early morning or late afternoon. 3. Have all your info ready before you call. They'll ask for your SSN, claim ID, etc. 4. Be polite but firm with the rep. They're dealing with a lot too. 5. If one rep can't help, politely ask to speak to a supervisor. 6. Keep a log of all your calls and who you spoke to. 7. Consider reaching out to your local assembly member for help. Hope this helps someone! We're all in this together. 💪

•Great advice! I'd add: make sure you're calling the right number for your specific issue. There are different lines for different problems.

Am I the only one who thinks its ridiculous that we have to jump through all these hoops just to get our benefits? The system is broken af 😤

•Preach! 🙌 It's like they're purposely making it difficult so people give up.

•Totally agree. We need to start contacting our representatives about this. It's not okay.

Has anyone had any luck with the online portal? I've been trying to update my info there but keep getting error messages.

Pro tip: if you get through to someone but they can't help, ask them to transfer you instead of hanging up and starting over. Saved me a ton of time!

•This! 👆 Also, be super nice to the person who answers. They're more likely to go the extra mile for you.
