EDD phone nightmare - can't reach anyone for weeks. Help!
Hey everyone, I'm having some issues with EDD and could really use some help. Has anyone else been struggling to get through to them lately? I've been trying to call for days but can't seem to reach a real person. Any advice on what I should do next?

Ugh, I feel your pain! EDD's phone system is a nightmare. I spent weeks trying to get through. Have you tried calling right when they open? That sometimes worked for me.

•Calling when they open is hit or miss. I've had better luck in the afternoon, around 2-3 PM. Less traffic then.

•Fr tho, their phone system is straight 🗑️. I swear they do it on purpose to discourage ppl from calling 🙄

I found a method that actually works to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

•Sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this?

•20 bucks? Idk man, seems kinda steep just to talk to someone 🤔

•I get the skepticism, but it seriously saved me weeks of frustration. Worth every penny imo

•Can confirm, I used it too. Beats pulling your hair out trying to get through yourself.

Have you tried reaching out to your local assembly member's office? They can sometimes help push things through with EDD. Worked for me when I was stuck in limbo for months.

Here's what worked for me after weeks of trying: 1. Call exactly at 8:01 AM 2. If you get the "too many callers" message, hang up and redial immediately 3. Keep doing this until you get into the queue 4. Once in the queue, DO NOT HANG UP no matter how long the wait 5. Have all your info ready (SSN, claim details, etc.) 6. Be polite but firm with the rep It took me about 30 tries over 3 days, but I finally got through. Good luck!

•Wow, thank you so much for the detailed advice! I'll definitely give this a try. Did you use any specific phone number?

•I used the main claims line: 1-800-300-5616. Just be prepared for a loooong wait once you get in the queue. Bring snacks lol

Anyone else notice how the EDD website always seems to crash right when you need it most? 🙃 #EDDfail

•Their tech is probly from the 90s lmao. Wouldn't be surprised if they're still using Windows 95 💀

Hey OP, what specific issue are you having? Might be able to give more targeted advice if we know what's going on.

•Thanks for asking! My payments have been stuck on pending for 3 weeks now, and I can't figure out why. No one's answering my messages in the portal either.

•Ah, the dreaded pending purgatory. Definitely try calling, and if you can't get through, consider the assembly member route or that calling service someone mentioned above. Hang in there!
