EDD Phone Nightmare: Tips to Actually Reach a Human?
Hey everyone, I'm having some trouble with my EDD claim. I've been trying to get through to someone on the phone, but it's been impossible. Has anyone had any luck recently? Any tips or tricks to get a hold of a real person? I'm getting desperate here!

Ugh, I feel your pain. I've been trying to reach EDD for weeks now. It's like they don't want us to get our benefits 🙄

•Same here! I've called like 50 times and still nothing. This system is so broken 😡

•Have you guys tried calling right when they open? I heard that's the best time to get through.

•Tried that too. No luck. It's like playing the lottery at this point 🎰

I actually found a method that worked for me! I used this site called claimyr.com. It's a calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, and then sends the call to your phone when a live agent picks up. It costs $20, but it saved me hours of frustration. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/DOLxZQb92wM

•Sounds too good to be true. Are you sure it's legit?

•I was skeptical at first too, but it really worked for me. Saved me so much time and stress.

•How long did you have to wait after using the service?

•It took about 2 hours, but I didn't have to sit there listening to hold music. They just called me when an agent was ready.

Here's what I've learned after dealing with EDD for months: • Call early in the morning, right when they open • If you get a busy signal, keep redialing • Use the phone prompts to request a callback instead of waiting on hold • Be persistent and don't give up • Check your online account regularly for updates • If all else fails, contact your local assembly member's office for help Hope this helps someone! It's a frustrating process, but hang in there.

•Contacting my assembly member was what finally worked for me. Highly recommend this if you're stuck.

anyone else notice that the EDD website is always down for "scheduled maintenance" when you actually need to use it? 🤔

•LOL yes! It's like they know exactly when I'm gonna log in 🤣

•Conspiracy theory: the website is never actually under maintenance. They just don't want to deal with us 👀

I've been waiting for 3 months to get my claim sorted out. At this point, I'm considering hiring a lawyer. Has anyone gone that route?

Pro tip: if you're having trouble with your claim, try reaching out on Twitter. Sometimes they respond faster there than through official channels. Worth a shot!

•Really? I'll have to try that. What's their Twitter handle?
