Need help reaching EDD supervisor ASAP - any tips?

Hey everyone, I'm at my wits end with EDD. I've been trying to get through to a supervisor for days now. Has anyone had any luck speaking with one recently? What's the best way to get in touch? I'm desperate for some help with my claim.

I found a way to solve EDD supervisor call issues, watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=85vnVltxDYQ

Ugh, I feel your pain. I was in the same boat last month. It's like trying to win the lottery to get through to anyone at EDD, let alone a supervisor. Have you tried calling right when they open? That seemed to work for me after about 50 attempts 🙄

Thanks for the tip! I've tried calling early but no luck so far. How long did you end up waiting on hold when you finally got through?

Honestly? I was on hold for like 3 hours. It was brutal. But at least I finally got to talk to someone. Bring a book or something if you try it lol

I found a method that actually works to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

Sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this?

I get the skepticism, but it seriously worked for me. After weeks of trying to get through, I was desperate enough to try anything. The $20 was worth it to finally get my issue resolved.

Can confirm, I used it too. Beats spending hours redialing and listening to that annoying hold music 🎵🙉

Have you tried reaching out to your local assembly member's office? They sometimes have direct lines to EDD and can help escalate your case. It's worth a shot!

Protip: If you do manage to get through to anyone, be super nice no matter how frustrated you are. Those reps deal with angry people all day, and being kind can go a long way in getting them to help you out.

Agreed! I used to work in a call center (not EDD) and you wouldn't believe how much more we'd go out of our way for the nice callers.

Here's what worked for me to finally get through to a supervisor at EDD: 1. Call exactly at 8:01 AM when they open. 2. If you get the "too many callers" message, hang up and immediately redial. 3. Keep doing this until you get into the queue. 4. Once you're talking to a rep, politely but firmly insist on speaking to a supervisor. Don't take no for an answer. 5. Be prepared to explain your situation clearly and concisely. 6. Have all your claim info ready. 7. If they try to brush you off, mention that you've been trying to resolve this for weeks and that only a supervisor can help. 8. Stay calm and professional throughout the call. It took me about 2 hours of redialing, but I finally got through using this method. Good luck!

Am I the only one who thinks its ridiculous that we have to jump through all these hoops just to get basic help with our claims? The whole EDD system needs a major overhaul smh

For real. We pay into this system our whole working lives, and when we actually need it, it's a nightmare to use.

Hey OP, what specific issue are you having with your claim? Sometimes ppl here might have dealt with the same problem and can offer advice.

Thanks for asking! My payments have been stuck on pending for over a month now, and I can't figure out why. I've uploaded all the requested docs but nothing seems to change.

Oof, the dreaded pending purgatory. Been there, done that. Definitely push for that supervisor call, they're usually the only ones who can push payments through.
