Need help fixing EDD claim - best way to contact them?
Hey everyone, I'm having some issues with my EDD claim and I need to fix it. Has anyone else had to deal with this recently? What's the best way to get in touch with them? I've been trying to call but no luck so far. Any advice would be really appreciated!

Ugh, EDD is such a nightmare to deal with. I've been trying to get through to them for weeks now. It's like they don't want us to actually get our benefits 🙄

•Tell me about it! I've spent hours on hold only to get disconnected. It's like they're playing some sick game with us.

•Same here. I've tried calling at different times of the day, but it's always busy. Anyone know if there's a secret best time to call?

•I heard early morning right when they open is best, but honestly, it's all a crapshoot. Good luck!

I actually found a method that works to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/Ize0EkN4HDI

•Wow, that sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this?

•Idk man, paying to get through to a government agency seems sketchy. Are you sure it's legit?

•I get the skepticism, but I swear it worked for me. After weeks of trying, I was desperate enough to give it a shot. Totally worth the $20 imo.

•That's actually genius. Frustrating that we have to pay extra, but if it works... 🤷♂️

Here's what worked for me: 1. Call right at 8:00 AM when they open 2. If you get the "too many callers" message, hang up and immediately redial 3. Keep doing this until you get into the queue 4. Once in the queue, DO NOT HANG UP no matter how long the wait 5. Have all your info ready (claim number, SSN, etc.) 6. Be polite to the rep, they're dealing with angry people all day It took me about 30 tries over 3 days, but I finally got through. Good luck!

Have you tried using their online portal? Sometimes you can fix issues there without having to call.

Has anyone tried contacting their local assembly member? I've heard they can sometimes help push claims through.

•Yes! This worked for me. My assemblyman's office was super helpful and got my issue resolved in a week.

•How do you even find out who your assembly member is?

•Just google '[your city] assembly member' and it should come up. Most have a 'contact us' form on their website for constituent services.

Anybody else notice that ever since they implemented that new ID verification system, everything's been even more of a mess? 🤔

•Omg yes. I uploaded my docs like 5 times and it kept saying they couldn't verify me. Had to call in to fix it.

Try calling the 833-978-2511 number right at 8am - that's been working better for me lately than the main number. Also, if you're getting stuck on the automated system, try pressing 1-2-4 really quickly after the initial greeting. Sometimes it bypasses some of the busy signals. I know it's frustrating but don't give up! What specific issue are you dealing with? Sometimes there are workarounds depending on the problem.

•Thank you so much for this tip! I've been struggling with the main number for days. Just tried the 833 number and the 1-2-4 trick - still busy but it felt like I got further in the system before getting the busy message. I'm dealing with a disqualification that I think is a mistake, so definitely need to talk to someone. Going to keep trying with your method!
