Hey, I actually found a way to get through to a real person at EDD! I used this site called claimyr.com. It's a calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, and then connects you to a live agent when one picks up. It costs $20, but it worked for me. One thing that helped me was calling right when they open at 8am - I had better luck getting through early in the morning. Also, try the UI Online portal during off-peak hours (like late evening). Sometimes the system is less overwhelmed then. Don't give up - it's a terrible system but persistence usually pays off eventually. Hang in there! 💪
