EDD Callback Issue: How Long Does It Take for EDD to Call Back After Identifying a Problem?
Hey everyone, I'm having an issue with EDD and I'm not sure what to do. I identified a problem with my claim and I'm wondering if EDD is going to call me back. Has anyone else dealt with this? How long did it take for them to contact you?

Ugh, I feel your pain. I've been waiting for EDD to call me back for weeks now. It's so frustrating! Have you tried calling them yourself?

•I've tried calling but I can never get through. It's like their phone lines are always busy 😫

•I know right? It's ridiculous. I wish there was a better way to contact them.

I found a method to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/Ize0EkN4HDI

•Wow, that sounds interesting. How long did you have to wait?

•It took about 2 hours, but I didn't have to sit there listening to hold music. The service called me when an agent was on the line.

•Idk man, sounds kinda sketchy. You sure it's legit?

•Yeah, it's totally legit. I was skeptical at first too, but it really worked for me. Saved me a ton of time and frustration.

Here's what I've learned about EDD callbacks after dealing with them for months: • They're supposed to call back within 5-7 business days • Make sure your contact info is up to date in your account • Keep your phone nearby and answer unknown numbers • If you miss their call, they might leave a voicemail with instructions • Sometimes they don't call back at all (yeah, it sucks) If you don't hear back within 2 weeks, I'd recommend trying to contact them again. Good luck!

Have you tried reaching out to your local assembly member? Sometimes they can help speed things up with EDD.

•I hadn't thought of that. How do I find out who my assembly member is?

•You can look it up on the California State Assembly website. Just enter your address and it'll show you who represents your district.

What kind of issue did you identify? Sometimes depending on the problem, there are different ways to handle it.

•It's related to my weekly certifications. I think I made a mistake on one of them.

•Ah, I see. In that case, you might want to try submitting a request for backdate or correction through your UI Online account. It could be faster than waiting for a callback.
