EDD Claim Status Notice - What to Expect and How to Actually Reach Someone?
Hey everyone, I just got a notice from EDD about my claim status and I'm not sure what to do next. Has anyone dealt with this recently? What should I expect when I call them? Any tips on getting through to an actual person would be really appreciated!

Ugh, dealing with EDD is such a pain. I've been trying to get through for weeks. Good luck!

•Same boat here. It's like they don't want us to get our benefits. So frustrating!

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone! I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

•Sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this?

•$20? That's kinda steep for just a phone call...

•I know it sounds sketchy, but I swear it worked for me. Saved me hours of frustration. Worth every penny imo

Here's what you need to know about EDD claim status notices: 1. Read the notice carefully. It should explain why there's an issue with your claim. 2. Gather any relevant documents (pay stubs, employment records, etc.) 3. Try calling early in the morning, right when they open. That's usually the best time to get through. 4. Be patient and polite with the rep. They're dealing with a lot right now. 5. Take notes during the call and get the rep's name if possible. 6. If they can't resolve it immediately, ask for a timeline and next steps. 7. Follow up via UI Online if you don't hear back within the promised timeframe. Hope this helps! Let us know how it goes.

Pro tip: if u cant get thru on the main line, try calling some of the other EDD numbers. Sometimes u can get transferred to the right dept that way.
