EDD Disability Claim Issues - Need Advice on Eligibility Notice

Ugh, dealing with EDD is such a pain. I've been there. What kind of notice did you get? Is it about your eligibility or payments?

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone! I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

Here's what I've learned from my experience with EDD disability claims: • Always keep copies of EVERYTHING you send them • If they ask for more info, send it certified mail so you have proof • Check your online account daily for updates • If possible, fax documents instead of mailing them - it's faster • Be persistent! Have you tried reaching out to your local assembly member's office? They can sometimes help expedite things with EDD.

Anyone else notice that EDD's website is always down for 'scheduled maintenance' when you actually need to use it? 🙄

Pro tip: if you're having trouble getting through on the phone, try calling right when they open in the morning. I usually have better luck then.
