EDD disability payments not received - need help troubleshooting
Hey everyone, I'm having a really frustrating issue with my disability payments. I haven't received anything from EDD for my disability claim and I'm starting to get worried. Has anyone else experienced this? Any advice on what I should do or who I should contact? I'm not sure if there's a problem with my claim or if it's just taking longer than usual. Any help would be appreciated!

Ugh, I feel your pain! I went through something similar last year. Have you tried calling the EDD directly? Fair warning though, getting through to a real person can be a nightmare.

•Thanks for the response! Yeah, I've tried calling but keep getting stuck in this endless phone tree. It's so frustrating!

•Pro tip: call right when they open. I got through after only 30 minutes on hold that way!

I found a method to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

•Can you give more details about how it works? Is it legit?

•Sure! You just go to their website, choose the EDD line, pay, and they start calling. When they get a real person, your phone rings. It's pretty simple.

Here's what you need to do to troubleshoot your disability payments issue with EDD: 1. Check your claim status online: Log into your EDD account and verify all your information is correct. 2. Review your mail: Make sure you haven't missed any correspondence from EDD requesting additional information. 3. Double-check your eligibility: Ensure you meet all the requirements for disability benefits. 4. Contact your healthcare provider: Verify they've submitted all necessary medical certifications. 5. Prepare documentation: Gather all relevant paperwork related to your claim (medical records, employment info, etc.) 6. Persistence is key: Keep calling EDD. Try different times of day. Early morning or late afternoon can sometimes be less busy. 7. Consider seeking help: If all else fails, contact your local state representative's office. They often have liaisons who can help with EDD issues. Remember, the system is overwhelmed, so patience is crucial. Good luck!

The whole system is broken. I've been waiting 3 months for my claim to be processed. It's ridiculous!

Has anyone tried contacting their state representative? I've heard they can sometimes help speed things up.

•Just google '[your state] find my representative'. Most states have websites where you can input your address and it'll tell you.
